Well. no. because it’s not mentioned in exemption criteria. Also Since these exams in Denmark , Norway and
Sweden are taken in their own native languages. so USMLE is not an exemption for them

Hello

May I ask regarding the initial documents needed for authorisation.. Why the form sended by Faculty of
Medicine of respective country outside of EU direct to Ministry of Health of Denmark is not good enough but
other documents of qualifications certified/ original are needed?

Junaid Khan Post author

Hi, Well first you need to download that form and give it to your university administration or dean or secretary
of your faculty. They should fill it and send it to Danish Health and Medicine Authority. This will show that your
study program which you completed was included in FAIMER or Avicenna directory. IT shows standardization
of that studied program. Other documents have their own value and importance. So you need to send all
required documents or at least attach a justification of unavailability of particular document

hi, Iam an ophthalmologist, did my PG in Nepal. Can you please guide me what are the requirements i need to
fullfill. I read the above details but none of it doesnt explain in detail what a specialist have to do with a no EU
degree. Just wanted to know if i have to undergo any licensing exam in my field. Thank You !

Junaid Khan Post author

November 28, 2016 at 4:10 am

First of all you need to learn Danish language. then you can apply for licensing. most of the time specialists are
recognized without any exam if their Pg qualification and experience is good enough. But since there is no one
formula applied for all specialists that’s why their credentials are seen case to case basis.

Hey, thanks so much for this informative post but I have a question. As a foreign recent medical graduate do I
need to internship in my country or can I go directly to take the Danish exams.
Also would it help if I obtaine my PhD degree from Denmark before I start my trading there?

Thanks in advance for your help and time.

Junaid Khan Post author

November 6, 2016 at 4:13 am

IT all depends on the country where you graduated from. if you graduated from the country which Denmark
has signed bilateral agreement with or from EU country then you can go for internship there. otherwise you will
have to sit for licensing exam prior to your internship

Thanks for the information.

i am currently a medical student in the Philippines and i will be graduating by May 2017, i want to do my
medical internship in Denmark.

Please i need your advice on how to go about it.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation..

Junaid Khan Post author

November 6, 2016 at 3:17 am
First of all you need to learn Danish upto B2 level (minimum) then contact different hospitals for any available
vacancies for internship. Also you need to see if your qualification from Philipine is considered equivalent to
Danish Qualification. One way for this is to see Bologna process if Philipine has signed it. If not then you need
to take Licensure exam like rest of non EU medical/dental graduates. Detailed procedure is already in the post

Hi, I am a medical doctor from Serbia. I just graduated and my wish is to specialize in psychiatry in Denmark.
In next few years it will not be possible for me to get this residency in my own country because, allegedly, we

Denmark? Where should I seek for this information? Thank you in advance.

December 18, 2016 at 2:42 am

Ok you can do this thing

apply for Danish Immigration service. check this website and you will find all necessary information there

while your immigration is done. start learning Danish language. you need to learn it up to B2 level. Once you
learn the language everything will become easy for you. residency is competitive in Denmark. But after passing
exam you can easily get it. Just learn the language first
