Topic: Housing for artists and creators

(energy efficient housing)

Intent: The key is to create affordable, appropriate places where artists can live, feel and
work.

In order to create art, you need to get inspired.

The role of the project would be to create such an environment that will let the
creators explore their imagination, get inspired and work in a peaceful
atmosphere.
The project is dedicated to supporting the day-to-day lives of creative individuals. Understanding
their needs and also their financial stresses and providing a relevant built environment and
affordable housing.
Artists are provided free studio space and subsidized housing. By bringing together a wide-array
of artistic talent, forming a exceptional ecosystem that advances through dialogue. It is an open-
network where artists interact daily, collaborate and build diverse connections.

The projects aims at encouraging artists and even younger people to develop their unique
talents and embrace it. In a conservative country like India, where the opportunities for chasing
your creative dreams are minimal, and where the people are mostly driven towards the typical
lifestyle, this place can act as a beacon to move away from the norm and inspire people to embrace
their artistic creativity.

Sustainable design and Contemporary architecture.

The Sustainable design seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and
moderation in the use of materials, energy, and development space and the ecosystem at large. Sustainable
architecture uses a conscious approach to energy and ecological conservation in the design of the built
environment.
The idea of sustainability, or ecological design, is to ensure that our actions and decisions today do not inhibit the
opportunities of future generations.
Low-energy house and Zero-energy building
Energy efficiency over the entire life cycle of a building is the most important goal of sustainable architecture. Use many
different passive and active techniques to reduce the energy needs of buildings and increase their ability to capture or generate
their own energy.
One of the keys to exploit local environmental resources and influence energy-related factors such as daylight, solar heat
gains and ventilation is the use of site analysis.

High-tech construction
The advantage on high-tech is precision and high efficiency, controlling energy and material exchange between architecture 24
and external ecosystem to create a comfortable indoor environment. In addition, it enables the building to have a certain
intelligence, by using less physical materials to meet the same functional requirements. Meanwhile, the bioclimatic theory
should be applied to transitional space, operating passive low-energy technology and using the combination with site weather
and meteorological data. In this way a micro-climate can be formed to reduce building energy consumptions.

OBJECTIVES:
•To allow artists from various fields, like musicians ,dancers ,painters ,video creators, photographers and the like to come
together, live together collaborate and produce spectacular works.

•Enhancing the built environment and allowing the artists to live in harmony and peace.

•To encourage artistic creativity, dedicated spaces for workshops to help younger inspiring artists.

•Creating built masses sustaining the different types of activities and encouraging the collaboration between the artists.

•Proving activity spaces catering to the different types of artists.

•Providing landscaped spaces with waterbodies creating beautiful vistas where the artists can derive inspiration from.
•Incorporating sustainable design to the buildings, lowering the energy consumption and the living cost for the artists as well.

•Encouraging use of energy efficient practises like movement through bicycles or skate boards within the site, recycling, etc.
