Fógra ón mBord Bainistíochta/ A Message from the Board of Management

Bhí an cruinniú deireanach ag an mBord Bainistíochta atá ann faoi láthair le gairid. Seo cúpla fógra uaidh:
Comhghairdeas mór leis na foirne spóirt uilig a ghlac páirt agus a bhuaigh comórtais le gairid- An Foireann Reatha,
Foireann Snámha, Foireann Peile na gCailíní. Míle buíochas le Cumann na dTuismitheoirí as ucht na maisiúcháin
d’Oíche Shamhna. Buíochas mór le baill an Bhoird Bainistíochta atá ann faoi láthair as ucht na hoibre a rinne siad le 4
bliana anuas agus táthar ag súil le tús a chur leis an mBord nua go luath i mí na Nollag Úsáidfear an dara rogha, áit go
gcuirtear páipéir bhótála abhaile, chun ionadaithe tuismitheoirí a roghnú don Bhord nua. Cuirtear fáilte mór roimh an

The current board of management had its last meeting recently. Here are a few messages from them:
Congratulations to all the sports teams in the school in their recent successes-The Cross Country Team, the Swimming
Team and the Girls Football team. Thank you to the outgoing members of the Board of Management for their work over
the last 4 years. We hope to have a new board in place in December. The board decided to choose the option of sending
a ballot paper home to every parent rather than having a public meeting to elect the new parents nominees to the BOM.
Thank you to the PA who decorated the school for Halloween. The board is pleased with the recent investment in ICT and
is pleased with the update on the School Self-evaluation process.

A letter will be sent home tomorrow with a list of the parents who have agreed to allow their names to be circulated to the
all parents in the school for nomination as parent nominees to the board of management. You will be asked to nominate
one father and one mother from the two lists sent and to return your nominations to the school before the 11th of
November.

Boscaí na Nollag/Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Tá an scoil ag glacadh páirt i “Boscaí na Nollag”. ‘Séard atá i gceist leis ná go gcuireann na daltaí páipéar na nollag
ar sean bhosca bróga agus líonann siad an bhosca le nithe a bheadh úsáideach do phaistí bochta thar lear. Tugann
na daltaí na boscaí seo ar scoil agus cuireann an scoil iad chuig cumann a thugann iad do phaistí thar lear. Bhí
billeog eolas tugtha do dhaltaí roimh na laethanta saoire d’aon duine go bhfuil suim acu páirt a ghlacadh san
imeacht seo. Iarrtar na boscaí a bheith ar ais ar scoil roimh an Aoine seo, an 8ú lá de Samhain. Míle buíochas as

The school will be participating in the “Christams Shoe Box Appeal” again this year. The pupils decorate an old
shoe box with Christmas paper, fill it with items that are useful for poor children abroad, then bring it into the
school. The school arranges for the boxes to be collected by Team Hope-which distribute the boxes to
disadvantaged children all over the world. An information leaflet was distributed before the midterm break, more
are available from the school office if required. We ask that you return the boxes to the school before Friday the
8th of November. We thank you for your cooperation
