Reflection:
This quote wants to deliver a message about having mistakes and struggles is not the reason for us to give up. It is the
reason for us to motivate our selves and reach the hope that will truly uplift ourselves from drowning with regrets and
sadness that we felt. Having all this pain will help us to mold our day and guide us to the road leads to victory that will
certainly lights up the future that we want to achieve in our life.

These struggles will give us a moral lesson to face up and welcome the day of tomorrow without the fear and distress in
our life. We will learn how to stand up from everything that sink us down. And this quote has a connection in my first quote
about pain. And they have also the similar thoughts, and I chose those quotes because it really emphasizes the reality that
happens to me and also for the others.

We, ourselves, are the only one that will know how to use the pain and struggles that we have. Having all of these happens
because it has its own purpose. And that purpose will certainly affect our personality, not just our personality but also the
true nature in life. But it depends in our hands, we have the control and we have the power to form a great shape of our day
and that will happen with the help of the pains and struggles.

IV. My Reaction about the story “Courage” by Bienvenido N. Santos

This story highlights the relationship between a teacher and his/her students. It portrays the real nature of being a
teacher and at the same time the reality that happens when students met their teacher for the first time. And through
reading this story, I realize how hard to be a teacher. And I remember all their efforts, pains, kindness, and how diligent
they are. Mr. Torres reminds me of my teacher when I was on my elementary days, And he was so kind and diligent like him
but later on we received a message that he died because of vehicle accident. And all of us were shocked and feel miserable
and disappointed. So that while I’m reading this story it has an immense impact to me, because my emotions, feelings and
thoughts was carried away and I felt the sadness and regret that felt by the class of Room 8. I really admired the author of
this story and after reading it, I felt the tone of the author and also the message that he wants to deliver for the readers.

The characters took a great part of my admiration to the story, it is because they are the one who is responsible for
delivering the pain that was taken by the readers. But on the end, their sense of remorse satisfy the emotions that was
expected by the readers. And Mr. Torres gives a great interpretation as being a teacher, he depicts the pain and stress that
felt by any other teachers, And even the love that they felt for the students. He is a great model depicting the significant
relationship between teacher and student and this is the thing that need to be treasured by the students.
