C. Learning Competencies/Objectives Motion (or Law of Inertia) and Galileo’s assertion that force
Write the LC code for each is not necessary to sustain horizontal motion
(S11/12PS-IVd-51)
use algebra, Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion, and Newton’s
Law of Universal Gravitation to show that, in the absence of
air resistance, objects close to the surface of the Earth fall
with identical accelerations independent of their mass.
(S11/12PS-IVd-52)

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous lesson or Activity: Pass the Cube
presenting the new lesson Students will recall the terms force, distance, displacement, speed
and velocity. They will pass on a cube containing these terms.
When the music stops, the person holding the cube will choose a
term to explain.
B. Establishing a purpose for the Explain the reason for the following phenomenon:
lesson 1. You are riding a bus. Then, suddenly someone called out
“PARA!”. The bus suddenly stops and all the passengers (including
you) moved forward.
2. An overweight man runs slower than an underweight man.
3. When you strike a nail with a hammer, the hammer moves
backwards.

I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the activity, the learners shall be able to:
1. Identify active and major ingredients in cleaning and personal care products
2. Explain the mode of action and precautionary measures indicated in various cleaning products and cosmetics

II. MATERIALS:
Pictures of the labels or drug facts of lotion, bath soap, bleach, baby powder, shampoo
manila paper, pen and paper, marker

III. PROCEDURES:
Study the assigned label/drug fact to your group. Answer the following guide questions:

2. Give a short description of this product.

3. What is its active ingredient? What is the purpose of this ingredient?

4. What are the precautions/warnings about this product?

5. What do you think is the mode of action of the active ingredient? (Choose from the terms to remember)
