Asda East & West Contracting Est. Is a Contracting company, started by a group of professionals
who has acquired a vast experience in Engineering, Civil Construction, industrial Maintenance
operations and services, Power, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and Telecom Project
management equipment services of large petrochemical complex in JUBAIL Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia. The Company is dedicated in the following the highest level of safety Standards and
quality control in all its contracts activities. With a satisfied clientele in public and private sector,
that includes Saudi Electrical Company, Saudi Telecom Company Royal Commission of Jubail
and scores of other organization in private sectors. The Company has complete professional

ASDA has a fully developed project department to manage and implement our projects and is involved in
effective execution of various projects of the company. The Asda project management uses sophisticated
methods in technology and management, systems engineering, statistical methods and software and
computers to build tools to cope with meeting constraints and challenges faced while execution of
projects and continuously strive to manage people, processes and time,
Allocate and efficiently apply the resources to achieve milestones and successful completion of projects.
For any developmental activities, effective execution and successful completion of projects is key and
our projects department keeps its focus towards completion of projects on time, within cost and of
uncompromising quality. At the same time, Asda believes that no project however big or significant is
worthy of its achievement unless safety of every single personnel involved is safeguarded and kept
absolutely uncompromised from start to finish. Asda projects keep health, safety and environment (HSE)
as our paramount uncompromising aspects. HSE is our first priority and is strictly adhered to in execution
of projects.
Projects Engineering
The key to success in any project is the accurate definition of its three main criteria (Performance, Time
& Budget). In order to deliver successful projects, Asda has a dedicated Project Engineering team which
focuses its effort from project conceptualization up to the start of implementation. The team delivers
accurate project scope, designs, budget estimates and time schedules, key for contract award.

Stages and challenges in a Project and Project Management
A project is an endeavor to meet unique goals and objectives, usually to bring about beneficial change or
added value. The nature of projects being unique and different from other operations, the management of
projects requires the development of distinct technical skills and the adoption of separate management
techniques. Project management is an effort carefully and meticulously planned and organized used for
accomplishing a specific one-time objective, always involving multiple resources to be allocated and
coordinated, and innumerable challenges and constrains to be faced and resolved in time.

An effective project management invariably involves a project plan to be developed, which includes
formulating and defining the project goals and objectives, identifying tasks and how goals will be
achieved, estimating and quantifying the resources needed, and determining budgets and timeline for
completion. It also includes managing the implementation of the project plan, along with operating
regular controls to ensure that there is accurate and objective information on performance relative to the
plan, and the mechanisms to implement recovery actions where necessary. Thus, the project management
typically comprises

Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific
project goals and objectives. Projects usually follow major phases or stages including feasibility,
definition, estimation, project planning, tendering and contract award, implementation (EPC),
commissioning and acceptance. All projects face three constrains i.e. time (how long is the period
available), cost (how much money or resources are possible) and performance (what is to be
accomplished). How these are successfully balanced is a constant challenge of the project management
functions.

Safety Policy
We are committed to SAFETY, which we conceived with knowledge that potential may hazards
confront the safety of personnel; equipment and environment. Necessary safety and preventive
measure are to be practiced and implemented for planning, managing and conducting work. Asda
Management is committed to the protection of our employees, contractors, subcontractors and client
personnel’s, products, equipment, and even the general public at our work locations.
Every employee of the Est. is being trained and shall make to understand the potential hazardous of
the job and the requirement, precaution and procedure of controlling hazards. They are all trained in
the use of respiratory protective system and equipment, protective clothing, use of the first aid in all
equipment, emergency lifesaving exercises, firefighting equipment etc. We are conducting safety
audit program annually, by selected members appointed directly by General Manager. The audit
team will review the documentation to ensure that all the areas of the standard are covered and then
provide the result of the review.
Moreover, Asda realized that SAFETY is the number one priority in a construction site. It is
committed to operate in a safe environment, capable of protecting human resources and properties
through the implementation of this plan.
