Reading: Syllables
A syllable is a single, unbroken sound of a spoken (or written) word.
Rules in dividing the words in syllables.
1. Every syllable has one vowel sound.
Examples: soon fill
2. Identify and separate the affixes (prefixes and suffixes).
Examples: re- turn mouth-ful
3. Divide between consonants.
Examples: moun-tain for-ward
