Clerk – Your Honor the name of the witness is Melchor Gaspar, 49 years old, bus driver, living at 24C
Raymundo St. Brgy. Cubao Quezon City

Atty. Telan – Your Honor, we would like to present the testimony of Mr. Gaspar to prove that it is
impossible for the accused Mr. Mario Alonzo to be at the crime scene on the midnight of August 24,
2018 because they were together before, during, and after the duration of the alleged commission of the
crime of rape.

Judge – Will be that all, counsel?

Atty. Telan – Yes

Judge – Ok, What's the pleasure of the prosecution? Any objections?

Atty. Telan – None, your Honor

Atty. Telan – So Mr. Witness, do you know the reason why you are here in court today?

Witness – ahhhmm Yes po , I'm here to testify

Atty. Telan – What is this case about?

Witness – Ahh rape

Atty. Telan – What will you be testifying about?

Witness – Ahhm nakasama ko po si Mario nung time na alleged rape na nangyari

Atty. Telan – So Mr. Witness what do you do for a living?

Witness – Ahhh bus driver po ako sa Victorias Liner

Atty. Telan – How long have you been working as a bus driver for Victorias Liner?

Witness – Eight (8) years na po

Atty. Telan – So how are you in any way related to the accused Mr. Mario?

Witness – Ahhmm katrabaho ko po sya tsaka po madalas sya po yung co-driver ko pag may...

Atty. Telan – So, as a bus driver Mr. witness what are the preparations that you do before a trip?
Witness – Ahhm dapat po nakatulog na mas mahaba so para po ahhm syempre buhay po ng tao yung
hawak namin kapag nagda-drive kami so dapat may enough po na pahinga.

Atty. Telan – So you are saying that your job as a driver has many hazards?

Witness – Ahhh opo, marami po

Atty. Telan – So what are the safety precautions that you need that are required for your job?

Witness – Ayun po. Dapat po may enough na pahinga, dapat din po syempre po hindi ka iinom ng
alcoholic drinks before, during or after ng trip and then dapat po syempre hindi ka nagda-drugs

Atty. Telan – Ok, so what is the reason for those safety precautions

Witness – Ahmm para po ano para ma-secure yung safety ng duration po ng trip namen

Witness – Kasi po may trip po kami pa – Isabela

Witness – 6PM

Atty. Ubalde - Do you have any proof that you are in the ahhm going ahhh for a trip to Isabela?

Witness – Ahmm yan po ay logbook ng mga kung sino po yung driver, kunganong oras po aalis, kung saan
po papunta, sino po konduktor

Witness – Ahhhh 5pm po ako dumating, 6pm yung oras ng trip to Isabela then papunta Isabela and then
kasama ko po si Mario Alonzo ang konduktor po namen ay si Edgardo Salazar tas yung bus numberand
plate number ABC 1234 No. 79 po tas may pirma na.

Witness – Yung sa baba po akin, tas kay Mario

Witness – Ahh required po sya kasi po ahhhm for safety precuations po at policies ng every company po
na dapat may cctv

Witness – Si Mario po yan, chinecheck nya po yung gulong

Witness – Noong August 2 po bago po kami umalis ng Isabela po

Witness – Kasi po long drive po usually yung provincial ahhh trips so hindi po pwede na tuluy tuloy po
yon na isang driver lang kailangan po may kasama kaming co-driver po para po mag take turns po kayo

your trip to Isabela

Witness – Usually po 12 hours, depende pa po yon kung traffic lalo na po pag umuulan

Witness – Simula po nung nasa trabaho na po ako.. mga eight (8) years po

Witness – mga 6:30 or... well more or less 6:30 po

Witness – Papuntang Isabela po

Witness – Uhhm nung una po si Mario tapos kasi po may rest .. uhm may ahhm stop over po then after
nung stop over ako na po
