Mentoring is the profession and a method of career management through which junior person takes

a proper guidance and value added knowledge from the experienced professional person (i.e.
senior). Starting the new professional career, anyone who has just dipped in the position can feel
vague and lost his/her confidence if they can actually do it. Having someone who can just push a bit
i.e. mentor can be a great help to move in correct path. Having a mentor to the side can boost up
the confidence, will power and interest in the career. I feel lucky to have a coach who got our back
and are guiding us in our tenure.

A mentor can do a lot of thing for a newbie and can actually invoke hidden capability of the junior
and actually help to choose the correct path in the career development. A professional mentor can
help when we get stuck in the problem because mentor knows what sorts of problem junior people
comforts in their career in the each stage due to their experience.

A mentor can give an advice to choose the conditional path in the career and can suggest which way
is better based on the junior’s knowledge and capability. Sometimes, what happens is that not
having a coach in the environment can leads to wrong path and people might end up their career. In
this situation a mentor can be a very good judge to point out the strong and weak point.
Having this not at the least, one should always need to keep their relation sound with coach. It is
because a mentor is someone who is really there when we need them at the best time. Sharing the
trouble with the coach makes our problem less weight and we won’t feel much stressed. This helps
in improve our motivation and thinking psychologically because we will fell ourselves somewhat
secured. Saying this, I find my coach very helpful in my professional career.

a. ACS Events: Events are meant to provide audience some guidance, experience and hidden
ideas how thing goes in the professional career. Since I have attended the ACS event having
different topics and life experience, it is very meaningful for me personally. Its because having
speaker who had already taken a leap in the same business sector can provide may insights about
the field and can provide many indirect guidance what to pick to sail in the same path. This includes
many turn of events and more importantly we can get idea which turn is better. I attended the young
professional Half day conference where three people from different background and knowledge
conveyed meaningful experience that motivates audience in the respective business industry. In the
nutshell, I find these types of events more exciting and actually helpful in my professional career.

b. Certifications: Certifications is the output of the experience from the practical and theoretical
knowledge passed from hardship of professional career. A certification is actually one sort of
measurement that identifies the person’s value based on their skills and knowledge. A certification
comes in several ways and the best one is from the training sessions where professional and
experts teaching us. Having said this, a certification helps an individual to grow towards their
professional career.
