Every diagnostic message leads to the following actions:

- The SF LED on the interface module is lit
- The can be more than one diagnostic message at the same time.
- Diagnostics data are reported as diagnosis interrupt and can be read from data
records
- Following a diagnostic message, the message is saved in the diagnostic buffer of
the IO controller.
- Next, OB82 will be called, if OB82 is not available, the IO controller goes to STOP
mode.
- Acknowledge of the diagnostic interrupt to enable new interrupts.

Self-cleaning power jumper contacts conduct the supply voltage for the field
side. They are located on either side of the modules. The female contacts on
the right-hand side of the field-bus coupler and the bus modules are designed as
spring contacts to protect against accidental contact. Male contacts are located
on the left-hand side of the modules.

Safety I/O Module PROFIsafe
A fail-safe PLC (PROFIsafe master) with
PROFIBUS Interface is used as control unit.
Data exchange between the safety input and
output modules as well as the control unit is
done via PROFIBUS as a physical basis and
the PROFIsafe protocol.

The safety protocol is sent through the so

called “black channel” from the safety PLC to
the safety input or output modules. The “black
channel” extends from the PROFIBUS
connection of the PLC through the coupler /
controller, the K-Bus in the node up to the I/O
module where the protocol is then unpacked.

cyclical indicate internal data bus errors. There are short following blink code table. The blinking indicates
flashing intervals between sequences. and error message comprised of an error code
and error argument.
OFF No data cycle on the internal data bus The fieldbus coupler supply is off.
Evaluating the Node Status

After switching on the power supply, the boot loader copies the device firmware
to the working memory, the I/O LED lights up orange.

The device firmware then starts and initializes the internal data bus. This is
indicated by red flashing at 10Hz for 1-2 seconds.

After starting up without any errors, the LED lights up green.

In the event of error, the I/O LED flashed red.

The flash codes are used to indicate detailed error messages. An error is
indicated by up to 3 cyclical flash sequences.

After eliminating the error, restart the fieldbus node by switching the
fieldbus coupler power off and on again.

Example of a module error

The I/O LED starts the error display with the first flash sequence

After the first pause, the second flash sequence (approx. 1Hz) starts:
The I/O LED flashes four times.
Error code 4 indicates “data error internal data bus”

After the second pause, the third flash sequence (approx. 1Hz) starts:
The I/O LED flashes twelve times.
Error argument 12 means that the internal data bus is interrupted behind
the twelfth active I/O module.

The thirteenth I/O module is either defective or has removed from the network.

there any 750-613 modules in the node?-
1. Determine the faulty I/O module by turning off
the power supply.
2. Plug the end module into the middle of the
node.
3. Turn the power supply on again
4. – LED continues to flash?-
Turn off the power supply and plug the end
module into the middle of the first half of the
node (toward the fieldbus coupler).
- LED not flashing?-
Turn off the power and plug the end module
into the middle of the second half of the node
(away from the fieldbus coupler).

be identified. while halving the step size until the faulty I/O
module is detected.
7. Replace the faulty I/O module.
8. If there is only one I/O module on the fieldbus
coupler and the LED is flashing, either the I/O
module or fieldbus coupler is defective.
Replace the I/O module with a pretested,
properly functioning I/O module. If the LED
no longer flashes, the replaced I/O module
was faulty. Replace this I/O module.
9. If the LED continues to flash, the fieldbus
coupler is faulty. Replace the fieldbus
coupler.

Error Error Description Solution
argument
- Internal bus data transmission 1. Turn off the power supply to the node.
error or interruption of the internal 2. Plug the end module behind the fieldbus
data bus at the fieldbus coupler coupler.
3. Turn the power supply on.
4. Observe the error argument signaled.
- Is no error argument indicated by the I/O
LED?-
5. Replace the fieldbus coupler.
- Is an error argument indicated by the I/O

5. Identify the faulty I/O module by turning off
the power supply.
6. Plug the end module into the middle of the
node.
7. Turn the power supply on again.
8. - LED continue to flash?-
