Fish curry or rohu fish curry is one of the most famous indian recipe.It is traditional indian food making for birthday party,anniversary party and oth
occasions.We can serve this fish curry for both lunch and dinner.

Fish curry is a very spicy gravy based indian fish recipe making with rohu fish.It is easy to prepare and does not require much investment of time or
money.All ingredients are available in your kitchen.Let’s start to the recipe...

Ingredients:
For marination-

Rohu fish-500g
Turmeric powder-⅓ tbsp
Red chili powder-½ tbsp
Salt-½ tbsp

For making paste-

Cumin seeds-1 tbsp


Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
Coriander seeds-1.5 tbsp
Red chili powder-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-⅓ tbsp
Black pepper-½ tbsp

For making fish curry-

Oil-2 tbsp
Chopped onions-2 medium size
Garlic ginger paste-2 tbsp
Coconut milk-150 ml
Sugar-⅓  tbsp
Chopped Coriander
Lemon juice-1 tbsp
Salt-as per your taste
Water-½ cup
Fried fish

Methods:

1. Clean and wash the all fish pieces.

2. Now,marinate the fish(both side)  with turmeric powder,red chili powder and salt.

3. Keep aside for 30 min.

4. After 30 min,take a pan,add 2 tbsp oil in medium heat.

5. Add marinated fish,fry 3-4 min.

6. Again fry 3-4 min on the other side.

7. After frying remove it to a plate.

8. Now making paste.

9. In a grinder,add cumin seeds,coriander seeds,red chili powder,turmeric powder & black pepper and mix them well.

10. Now to start fish curry.

11. Take a pan,heat oil.

12. Add the chopped onions and fry them about 10 min til light brown.

13. Add garlic ginger paste and stir 2-3 min.

14. Now add paste and fry it 2-3 min.

15. Add salt and stir and fry for 5-6 min till oil separate.

16. Add water and stir and cook for 8-10 min in medium heat.

17. Add coconut milk and simmer for 2 min.

18. Add fried fish and mix them and cooked for 10 min on low heat.

19. After cook,add chopped coriander,sugar,lemon juice and stir well.

20. Garnish it with coriander leaves.


21. Now ready to serve with steamed rice.
