OLGA HD in 2014 and 2015

 Flow prediction is improved

 A consistent model for stratified flow based on the velocity
distribution
 2014: OLGA HD included as a maintenance upgrade
 2015: OLGA HD becomes OLGA

Cross sectional velocity distribution in

OLGA HD improves consistency and
accuracy

Multiple Realization for RMO workflows

 Dedicated licenses for uncertainty and optimization workflows

 More affordable than using current license model for RMO
 Speed benefit when cases run on multiple CPU cores
(realizations)
Simulation time in s
Speed benefit example:
MR 8 76

• Dell laptop, Latitude E7240

MR 4 98
• 4 cores

OLGA 2014 – Overview of the new functionalities

• OLGA GUI
– Introducing a new modeling dataflow with the Pipeline Editor and
Well Editor as well as the editor-to-GUI conversion
– A new independent tool (Profile Generator) for pipeline profile
simplification
• OLGA Engine
– Moving grid for drilling string and coiled tubing simulation
– Compositional Mud Tracking – allow phase exchange between
reservoir fluid and the drilling/completion mud
– Sand transport modeling
