Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ' Nishank ' and Food Processing
Industries Minister Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal today on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of
Guru Nanak Dev Ji in Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, on three books on Guru
Nanak Dev Ji Inaugurated. These three books published by the National Book Trust include Guru Nanak
Bani, Nanak Bani and the Sakhiyan Guru Nanak Dev.

The Human Resource Development Minister said that the government is trying to convey the message of
Guru Nanak to the people. In this series, an inter-cult center will be established at Guru Nanak Dev
University in Punjab at a cost of Rs 493 crore. In addition, Rs 0.91 crore will be released for organizing
international seminar on Garu Nanak ji. In addition, Chairs will be set up in each of the UK and
Canadian universities subject to the approval of the Ministry of External Affairs. In the UK, Rs 4.5 crore
will be released for five years for Chair and Rs 9 crore for Chair in Canada for three years. Along with
this, 0.65 crore rupees will be given for the publication of Gurubani in various Indian languages and 0.21
crore rupees for the translation of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's messages in the world languages.

Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank further said that Guru Nanak always gave a message to the people that if
God is one then how can there be discrimination among humans. He said that under the guidance of PM
Shri Narendra Modi ji, efforts are being made to spread the thoughts of Guru Nanak Ji to the people all
over the world. In this direction, not only in the country but in the whole world, the year 2019 is being
celebrated as the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji around the world. Under this, various
discussions, discussions, book releases and seminars are being organized based on the life of Guru
Nanak Dev and his teachings all over the world.

गु नानक बाणी नामक पु तक भाई जोध सह ारा संक लत क गई है और इसम गु नानक दे व क मूल वाणी से व भ पद वषयवार संक लत
कए गए ह। नानक बाणी शीषक पु तक (मंजीत सह ारा संक लत), गु नानक दे व के पाँच मुख लेखन (पाँच ब नया) का संकलन है। ज म
सा खयाँ अथात् ज म कथाएँ, गु नानक क आ मकथाएँ ह। सा खयाँ गु नानक (जगतारजीत सह ारा संक लत) पु तक, गु नानक के जीवन
क कहा नय पर आधा रत है। यह वशेषकर ब च के लए एक स च पु तक है। इन पु तक को 15 भारतीय भाषा म का शत कया जा रहा
है।

नवंबर 2018 म धानमं ी, ी नर मोद क अ य ता म यू नयन कै बनेट म यह ताव पा रत कया गया क रा य सरकार तथा वदे श म
भारतीय नयु वद के साथ मलकर संपूण दे श एवं नयाभर म वष 2019 को गु नानक दे व जी क 550व जयंती के प म भ तरीके से
मनाया जाए। कै बनेट बैठक म लए गए नणय म से एक मुख नणय यह था क रा ीय पु तक यास, भारत ारा गुरबाणी का काशन व भ
भारतीय भाषा म कया जाएगा तथा यूने को ारा गु नानक दे व क लेखनी का काशन व क मुख भाषा म कया जाएगा।

मौजूद रहे।
