4. Working Principles
4.1 High Voltage Circuit

The high voltage needed by X-ray tube is rectified from commutating current 220V to DC 300V which is
added to inverter, producing 40 kHz inverting frequency square wave. Then it is increased to the set
voltage value by passing the transformer in the X-ray generator’s components and the voltage doubling
circuit. Voltage regulation is conducted by the means of phase shifting control mode..
4.2 Filament Circuit

The voltage needed by X-ray tube for lighting up filament is provided by filament power panel. After the DC
24V is adjusted, DC voltage adjustable within a certain range is produced, then the 1kHz square wave
inverted from the DC voltage through the circuit is delivered to the filament transformer to energize the
filament after being isolate.
4.3 Control Circuit
X-ray parameter’s control over high voltage circuit and filament circuit is conducted by CPU through control
panel and display respectively, thus achieving control over kV and mAs. When 40~110kV is displayed, mAs
adopts digital closed-loop control. Besides, the control panel has additional functions of saving kV and mAs
parameters, state check and control output.

4.4 Attenuation of X-ray Beam when Using Accessories

The front panel of the film cassette will attenuate the x-ray beam during exposure and its maximum
attenuation dosage is no more than 1.2mmAl. If there are other accessories being used, such as the
diagnostic bed placed between the X-ray Monoblock and the film, it will cause more attenuation; therefore,
the exposure parameters should be increased accordingly
5. Focus Center
The focus center of the X-ray tube monoblock keeps balance within the range of 550mm~1650mm. And the
machine is with secure braking within the range. The ascending pull should be less than 80N while the
descending pull should be less than 60N.
The horizontal rotation around the datum axis of the X-ray tube monoblock should be no more than ±900
while the vertical rotation around the datum axis should be no more than ±900 .
6.Distance between the Focus and Body (Focus-skin distance)

9
The range of the distance between focus and body: 500~1700 (mm)

Distance between focus and body is adjustable. The value reflected by pulling the focus-skin distance

meter (2M) to the body is used to indicate the distance between the focus and body.
Move the Monoblock to make a distance of 1 meter between the focus and body, then the x-ray field after
getting through the beam applicator is 340 * 340mm. Adjust the hand wheel of the beam applicator, it will
form random rectangles with areas not larger than 340*340mm. The longer the distance between the focus
and body, the larger the x-ray area formed. When taking normal radiography, keep a longer distance
between the focus of x-ray tube and the body of the patient, and meanwhile, move the patient as close as
possible to the film.
