“St. Francis Xavier, a welcoming faith community lovingly sharing the gifts of God.”

FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING

ST
NOVEMBER 21 , 2010
PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently
especially Michael Leclair.

PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek God’s
healing love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home”. We pray especially for Gary Cybulski,
and Kay Kasaboski . May your struggle be consoled by Christ’s love“.

From the Pastors Desk

CONFIRMATION: Our thanks to Bishop Mulhall for his presence and
celebration of Confirmation. The parish is blessed to have our catechists
who so generously showed leadership and support to the parents as they
joined us in preparing their children. Let us continue to raise up in prayer
our young people now fully initiated in faith.
——————————————————————————————–
ALTERNATE GIVING: Our tradition of outreach at Christmastime will again
be encouraged this year as we join with our friends at “CHALICE” who do
such good work in providing very practical gifts to the needy in developing
countries. Catalogues of supplies for purchase are “on their way”. You may
have received one in the mail. We will soon provide them here at the church
as well. Thank you in advance for your openness to this annual opportunity.
———————————————————————————————–
SHEPHERDS: The care extended to the people who rely on the Shepherd’s of Good
Hope in Ottawa is varied. They provide warm clothing at this time of year. Only
seasonal clothing in suitable condition is accepted. They do not have space to
provide for all and/or any clothing. Consequently, any donations being brought
down must be sorted for acceptance. If you have extensive amounts we suggest a
donation to “Value Village” in Pembroke or Renfrew which raises monies for the
Diabetic Association. They have boxes here in Renfrew.
——————————————————————————————–
ON OUR WAY WITH JESUS: Children and parents are “on their way”. We will
meet again this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. in the church. Let us keep these people in
prayer as we journey with them this year.

SUNDAY MISSALS: for 2010/2011 are now 2011
