FORMAT OF A FAMILY CASE ANALYSIS

I. INTRODUCTION

A family is more than by blood, through which in this generation family is


connected by heart and emotional bond which is treasured by one another. It is about
the quality of relationship and building a strong foundation wherein it helps and aid
the need of every member of the family. There are different types of family structure
such as nuclear family, nuclear dyad, single parent, family, extended family,
cohabitation family, communal family and blended family these structures provide
function to every human being, it meets the necessity of the family member, it
describes that every member of the family is interdependent to one another, a family
also provides emotional comfort to its members and also established the never
ending affection every member needs. On the other hand family is related to
community which is defined as a fellowship with others, as a result of sharing
common attitudes, interests, and goals. A community features building blocks of
social units which are a group of living things with commonality, nursing student may
be considered a type of community who share the same goals and objective in their
practical fields, Moreover human communities also share common beliefs, culture and
ethical environment.

In addition to communities and family, Public health nurse is also considered one
vital role needed in a community through which its practice is acknowledged as it
promotes and protects the health of the population using knowledge from nursing,
social, and public health sciences, it also aids in helping the people within its scope to
provide holistic care and affection to people, families, or communities who would
benefit from its interventions. Additionally public health nurse also provide plans for
the development within the community to meet the identified needs, through which it
is implemented effectively, efficiently and equitably.

There are current issues that definitely affect the Philippines, According to WHO
Many Filipinos face diseases such as Tuberculosis, Dengue, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.
These diseases pair with protein-energy malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies
that are becoming increasingly common, although advances have been made to
improve healthcare in the Philippines, there are still many issues that the country has
yet to overcome to achieve a high quality, cost efficient healthcare system.

III. HEALTH ASSESSMENT (IPPA-CEPHALOCAUDAL)


Assessment of a client pertains to a proposal of care that categorizes the variation and
establishes the needs of a client and how those needs will affect the proposed Nursing care to
the individual. Moreover it is the evaluation of the health status by carrying out a physical
examination after taking the health history.
