Digital Duplicator Brief Instruction

Digital duplicator is a digital scanning, thermal plate imaging approach to

work, to achieve high-resolution print quality, printing speed about 130 per

minute printing equipment. It also has a zoom on the original printing, stitching

printing, automatic control and other functions of paper, and now all models can

also support the USB interface to computer print direct output function.

Digital duplicators are generally integrated image scanning control system,

thermal plate processing system, printing control system, paper path control

system and other major components. Its working procedures can be divided into:

high speed automatic digital scanning, auto thermal plate making, printing and

other high-speed parts.

The original printed is similar to copy of the form, placed on the draft glass

and closed draft platform, start integration duplicator. Firstly, the image scanner

will scan the original manuscript and change the formed light image into digital

signals, then sent to thermal treatment, and the command laser body launch

laser beam to pierce master directly form the image. Then, the system hung

formed master to printing drum unit, with the main control system, through the

printing drum unit will spray ink to version of master, at the same time, paper

path control system send the paper into the machine and attached to the printing

drum unit, the ink penetrate through master into the paper, thereby complete

high-speed printing.

Machine Placement

Put the machine on a level and steady place.

Keep the machine away from dusty place.

Don’t keep machines exposed to direct sun


light or heating equipment like stoves;
otherwise the ink will be metamorphosed,
which will result in poor print quality.
Moreover, direct sun light will result in wrong
display of LCD. Also keep the machine away
from too cold or too wet circumstance.

Ink cartridge replacement should be used up


after machine warning, if the change in using,
Air will enter result in supply ink difficultly.

Operation Note

Do not fall metal objects into the machine to


avoid short circuit or damage to the machine.

When the machine is running, do not put your


fingers or other objects inside the machine, to
prevent accidents.

When press release button, hand leave away


drum,avoid risks.

For security purposes, when you don't use the


machine for long time, please unplug.

Print the contents have some restriction; please do not print some illegal material.

1、Printed matter prohibited by law


(1) Banknotes, currencies, bonds, and state and local government bonds, even if the stick
with "sample" words can not be copied.

of the file can not be copied.

3、Digital duplicator working principle

⑴.CIS scan principle


Machine uses the scanning head to read the file change into light signals, after scanning treatment

into electrical signals and sent to main control board. Control board received signals and sent to control the

thermal head, then thermal head change electrical signals into heat energy, breakdown master and become

graphic .

⑵.Master making

First of all, the disposal box master collects the printed master and detectives the master
collection. Meanwhile the scanner head reads the image data from the original and transfer the

data to the thermal head. The thermal head prints the image data to the master, and the thermal
master is loaded onto the drum by mechanical part and the test print is made.

⑶.Printing
The paper feed tray may will support the paper up, and the paper is separate and
delivered to the second feed roller by cooperation work of paper feed roller and the paper
separator pad. Then the paper is seeped from the tiny mesh of the thermal master on the
drum, and through pressing by the pressure roller to the paper and to the drum, the printing
procedure is completed. Shortly the paper is separated from the master by the blower device,
and then by paper separate pawl and the paper transport belt the print paper is delivered to
the paper receiving tray.

⑷.Paper feed working principle

transfer failure occurs, the material for the silicon-fluorine forming
lubricants.
Thermal layer:Thermal head heat generated can melt the layers of many small holes,
material for the polyester.
Adhesive layer:The thermal layer on the adhesion to the grassroots level; not hinder the
ink leakage; increase the compressive strength of the surface of master.

Note:
1. Do not touch the surface of thermal head, after accidentally touching,rubbed by alcohol.
2. Do not touch the cardboard, adding that surface membrane.
3. IC block under metal cover,Do not press metal cover.
4. Do not touch plug terminal without wearing gloves,in case of static electricity.
5. Plug, pull the plug must be careful, pay attention to the plug head is always parallel with
the thermal re-inserted to confirm whether seated.
6. According to the particular value of thermal head strictly adjust the voltage, adjust the
voltage of thermal head to make image clearly.

test.

Small LCD model and LED model: Long press “Reset” key and “0” key at the same

“5” key to confirm test.

③. In normal conditions, no-load DC voltage should be +23 to 24V.

Enter thermal head test

Operation steps:

1. Enter the functions test, then press “Stop” key and “master making” key

to implement master making.

2. Exit the test and then enter normal mode for normal printing, check the

printing effect.

Types of printout

1. If there are white lines on the printout (as shown in below picture),it

means inner wire of thermal head is broken and replacement is needed.

2. If board of the printout is black (as shown in below picture),it means the

thermal head is damaged and replacement is needed.

3. If board of the printout is white (as shown in below picture),please test

voltage of the thermal head. If the voltage can not reach 12V-13.5V,it

means the thermal head is damaged and replacement is needed.

ⅴ.Clamp flow chart

⑴.Master unload/load principle

First of all, the disposal master box collects the printed master and

detectives the master collection. Meanwhile the scanner head reads the

image data from the original and transfer the data to the thermal head.

The thermal head prints the image data to the master, and the thermal

master is loaded onto the drum by mechanical part and then the test print

Ⅸ.Maintenance

⑴. Routine maintenance:
1. Master maker: When supplying master,if the machine shows master supplying
error and frequently cuts master,please clean the sensor at master tail with clean
cloth,and check whether the sensor is in center. As following picture shows.

2. If the machine shows disposal motor error by turning on the master making button
and nothing by turning on,please check the disposal sensor and then clean both
the emitting sensor and the receiving sensor with clean cloth.

3. If printing speed is uniform,sometimes fast and sometimes slow,please check the


main motor code pan and then brush it with brush

③. Replace the new printing roller or clean the used one.
④. Install the printing roller. Firstly install the printing roller which is near the front
wallboard, then press the other side.

Notes: If back cover of the machine is not open, you use screwdriver to prize the
bearing to take out the printing roller.

In case the installation fails please enter the printers in the control board, cancel RDPrinter1.1,
click right key of the Mouse on the blank and enter the server attributes, click driver procedure and
cancel RDPrinter1.1. And then reinstall according to the steps above.

Remarks: This driver procedure is normally operated under Windows2000 and WindowsXP.
