1 Geltungs-/Anwendungsbereich
Diese ZF-Werknorm regelt die Gestaltung und Anwendung
des ZF-Logos.
Das ZF-Logo ist das verbindliche Firmenzeichen im
ZF-Konzern.
Das ZF-Logo wird vor allem genutzt für die Kennzeichnung
von:
 ZF-Bauteilen und -Erzeugnissen
 ZF-Vordrucken wie Briefbogen, Prospekte, Zeich-
nungs- und Stücklistenvordrucke, Formulare etc.
 ZF-Werbemitteln
 ZF-Gebäuden und Anlagen
Bei der Anwendung des ZF-Logos sind die geltenden
Corporate Design Richtlinien auf dem CI-Portal unter der
Adresse https://ci-portal.zf.com zu beachten.
2 Zweck
Diese ZF-Werknorm legt die Formen, Abmessungen und
Ausführungen des ZF-Logos fest.

4 Formen, Maße
4.1 Allgemeines
Die Maße und Vorzugsgrößen für das ZF-Logo sind in
Form A (siehe Abschnitt 4.2) definiert.
Diese können je nach Herstellungsverfahren des
ZF-Logos nach Abschnitt 4.3 bis Abschnitt 4.6 ergänzt,
bzw. modifiziert werden.
Für angegebene Nennmaße gelten die Grenzabmaße nach
Anhang C.
Die Herstellbarkeit der geforderten Nenngröße des
ZF-Logos ist vorab durch den produktverantwortlichen
Konstrukteur oder Ersteller der Herstellungsvorlage zu
klären.
Alle in Abschnitt 4 nicht beschriebenen Varianten des
ZF-Logos müssen von der Abteilung „Advertising &
Corporate Design“ (VCMA) im Einzelfall freigegeben
werden.
Achtung:
Für die allgemeine Bauteilkennzeichnung nach ZFN 2011-1
gilt Abschnitt 6.

1 Scope/Field of application
This ZF Company Standard specifies the layout and use of
the ZF logo.
The ZF logo is the obligatory company logo throughout the
ZF Group.
The ZF logo is primarily used for the marking of:
 ZF components and products
 ZF forms, such as headed stationery, brochures,
drawing frames and parts list forms, forms etc.
 ZF advertising material
 ZF buildings and facilities
When using the ZF logo the valid Corporate Design
Guidelines at the CI Portal under address
https://ci-portal.zf.com have to be observed.
2 Object
This ZF Company Standard specifies the forms, dimensions
and versions of the ZF logo.
3 Normative references
4 Forms, dimensions
4.1 General
The dimensions and preferred sizes of the ZF logo are
defined in form A (see Section 4.2).
Depending on the used manufacturing process of the
ZF logo, these dimensions and sizes may be supplemented
and/or modified acc. to Section 4.3 through Section 4.6.
For specified nominal dimensions the limit deviations acc. to
Annex C apply.
The manufacturability of the required nominal size of the
ZF logo shall be clarified in advance by the product
responsible designer or creator of the manufacturing model.
Any variants of the ZF logo not explicitly described in
Section 4 shall be approved on an individual basis by the
department “Advertising & Corporate Design” (VCMA).
Attention:
Section 6 applies for the general marking of components
acc. to ZFN 2011-1.

4.2 ZF-Logo Form A 4.2 ZF logo form A

Die Form A (siehe Bild 1) wird zur Kennzeichnung von
Geschäftsvordrucken, Dokumenten, Werbemitteln etc.
sowie für die Bauteilkennzeichnung angewendet und dient
als Basis für dreidimensionale Formen des ZF-Logos.
Für ZF-Logos Form A gelten die Maße nach Tabelle 1.
Form A (see Figure 1) is to be used on business forms,
documents, advertising materials, etc. and for the marking
of components and serves as a basis for three-dimensional
versions of the ZF logo.
The dimensions acc. to Table 1 apply for ZF logos form A.

4.3 ZF-Logo Form C
Die Form C (siehe Bild 2) darf alternativ zu Form A bei
Gussteilen, Spritzgießteilen und Kautschukformteilen ange-
wendet werden.
Für Form C gelten folgende Punkte:
 Die Grundfläche für das ZF-Logo sollte nicht gewölbt
sein.
 Auf die Grundfläche werden der Kreis und die damit
verbundenen Buchstaben „ZF“ erhaben angebracht.
 Grundsätzlich gelten die Maße von Form A (siehe
Bild 1). Diese Maße werden durch die zusätzlichen
Festlegungen nach Tabelle 2 ergänzt.
 Nennmaße beziehen sich auf die Werkstückaußen-
flächen.
 An die Außenkante des Nennmaßes schließt die
Formschräge an.
 In Zeichnungen scharf dargestellte Ecken und
Kanten können gerundet sein.
(Rundungsradius ≤ ØD x 0,02)
 Die zulässige Formschräge α beträgt max. 22°.
 Form C gilt für Druckguss, Kokillenguss, Sandguss,
Feinguss und Spritzguss.

4.3 ZF logo form C
On castings, injection molded parts and molded rubber
parts form C (see Figure 2) may be used instead of form A.
For form C, the following points apply:
 The base for the ZF logo shall not be curved.
 On the base, the circle and the letters “ZF” are
attached raised.
 Basically the dimensions of form A (see Figure 1)
apply. These dimensions are supplemented by the
additional specifications acc. to Table 2.
 Nominal dimensions refer to the outside faces of the
workpiece.
 The draft angle joins the outer edge of the nominal
dimension.
 Edges and corners shown sharp on the drawing may
be rounded.

 The maximum allowable draft angle α is 22°.
 Form C applies for die casting, mold casting, sand
casting, investment casting and for injection molding.

Die Form E (siehe Bild 5) wird bevorzugt bei Schmiede-
teilen angewendet.
Zur Erstellung des ZF-Logos Form E sind die Maße nach
Tabelle 3 anzuwenden. Die angegebenen Werte sind
gegenüber Tabelle 1 abweichend.
Zusätzlich können bei Bedarf abweichende Nenngrößen
der Form E nach Anhang A neu erstellt werden.
Form E (see Figure 5) is preferred used on forged parts.

4.6 ZF-Logo Form F 4.6 ZF logo form F

Die Form F (siehe Bild 6) wird ausschließlich beim Prägen
zur Kennzeichnung von Bauteilen nach ZFN 2011-1 (siehe
auch Abschnitt 6) angewendet. Zur Erstellung des ZF-
Logos Form F sind die Maße nach Tabelle 4 anzuwenden.
Zusätzlich können bei Bedarf ZF-Logos Form F nach
Anhang B neu erstellt werden. ZF-Logos Form F mit
Nenngröße > 10 mm sind nicht zulässig.

Section 6). The dimensions in Table 4 shall be used for
creation of the ZF logo form F .
Additional nominal sizes for form F logos can be created as

size > 10 mm are not permitted.

Zur Kennzeichnung von Bauteilen nach ZFN 2011-1 ist das
ZF-Logo Form A grundsätzlich zulässig.
Aufgrund verschiedener Herstellverfahren sind Anpas-
sungen am ZF-Logo notwendig.
In Tabelle 6 sind diese, abhängig von der Kennzeichnungs-
art nach ZFN 2011-1, beschrieben.
For the marking of components acc. to ZFN 2011-1, a ZF
logo form A is generally allowed.
Due to varying manufacturing processes, adaptions of the
ZF logo may be necessary.
These modifications are described in Table 6 depending on
the marking method acc. to ZFN 2011-1.

7 Umstellregelungen
In Dokumentvorlagen für die externe Kommunikation ist das
aktuelle ZF-Logo ab sofort zu verwenden.
Intern verwendete Dokumentvorlagen sind zeitnah
anzupassen.
In bestehenden Dokumenten ist bei Änderung aus anderem
Grund das ZF-Logo zu aktualisieren.
Für die Bauteilkennzeichnung (z. B. nach ZFN 2011-1)
gelten folgende Regelungen:
 ZF-Logos auf Bauteilen mit Prototypfreigabe vor
2017-11 sind nach Möglichkeit zu aktualisieren (z. B.
bei Änderung aus anderem Grund, werkzeug-
gebundene ZF-Logos bei Werkzeugwechsel).
 Bei neuen Bauteilen mit Prototypfreigabe nach
2017-11 ist das aktuelle ZF-Logo zu verwenden.
 Bestehende Werkzeuge mit ZF-Logos, die sowohl
zur Kennzeichnung von freigegebenen Bauteilen als
auch zur Kennzeichnung von Bauteilen mit
Prototypfreigabe nach 2017-11 verwendet werden
(z. B. Prägestempel), sind zu aktualisieren.
Hinweis:
Bei Umstellung von Werkzeugen mit ZF-Logo ist ggf.
zusätzlich zur Bauteildokumentation die Dokumentation des
Werkzeugs zu aktualisieren (z. B. Zeichnung, 3D-Modell).
Die Umstellung anderer Verwendungen des ZF-Logos ist
mit der Abteilung „Advertising & Corporate Design“ (VCMA)
abzustimmen.

7 Conversion rules
Effective immediately, the current ZF logo shall be used in
document templates for external communication.
Internally used document templates shall be adapted as
soon as possible.
If existing documents are changed for another reason, the
ZF logo shall be updated.
The following rules apply for component marking (e.g. acc.
to ZFN 2011-1):
 The ZF logo on components with prototype release
prior to 2017-11 shall be updated if possible (e.g. in
case of changes for another reason, tool-specific ZF
logo if tools are replaced).
 For new components with prototype release after
2017-11, the current ZF logo shall be used.
 Existing tools with the ZF logo that are used to mark
approved components as well as marking
components with prototype release after 2017-11
(e.g. embossing punch) shall be updated.
Note:
When changing over tools with the ZF logo, it may be
necessary to additionally update the tool's documentation
(e.g. drawing, 3D model).
Changing over other ZF logo applications shall be done in
consultation with the “Advertising & Corporate Design”
(VCMA) department.

ZF-Logos Form E sind wie folgt zu erstellen:
 Festlegung der Gesamtgröße des ZF-Logos

zur Herstellung des ZF-Logos, bzw. der Form.
Achtung:
Der Durchmesser k des Werkzeuges muss ungefähr
im Verhältnis zu den Nenngrößen nach Tabelle 3
angepasst werden.
Beispiel für „ZF-Logo 40 E ZFN 2“ auf Basis
„ZF-Logo 10.4 E ZFN 2“:
k40 ≈ k10,4 * 40 / 10,4 = 0,8 mm * 40 / 10,4 ≈ 3 mm
 Erstellung eines beliebigen ZF-Logos Form A (siehe
Bild A.1.1) und Festlegung der Mittellinie der Kontur
(siehe gestrichelte Linie Bild A.1.1 und A.1.2)
 Skalierung der erzeugten Kontur auf:
Øf = ØD - k
 Verschiebung der unteren Ecke des Buchstabens „Z“
horizontal in Richtung Kreis auf Maß k und
Verkürzung der Linien des Buchstabens „F“ um das
Maß k /2 zur Anpassung der Kontur an verwendeten
Fräser zur Formerstellung (siehe Bild A.1.3).

and determination of the center line of the contour

 Shift of the lower edge of the letter “Z” horizontally
toward the circle to dimension k and shortening the
lines of the letter “F” by the dimension k /2 to adapt
the outline to the milling cutter used for form creation
