Briefly describe your internship, co-op, research, or service- learning opportunity, including your day-to-day tasks,
responsibilities, and assignments.

I’ve learned so much from my Internship at E.A Ramirez Construction Inc., I am assigned in various field such
as doing estimates, doing AutoCAD works and monitoring, site inspection and inventory of the materials. These
various fields allowed me to enhance my skills as a future Civil Engineer. Also, the experience is like I am
working in real life, not because the company offers daily allowance but because they are understanding and
always asking our opinion and sometime using our idea to be implemented on the project.

What have you enjoyed the most about your

position or organization/company?
What I enjoyed the most is when we go to the site to do inspection and monitoring because it’s like a real-life
situation where you can apply all of the learning from the academe. I was able to observe the actual operation
and management at the site.

What have you gained from your experience

that you could not have gained from another opportunity?
Through this internship, I have gained additional knowledge. I am very grateful that they taught us values and
how to communicate to other people with different kinds of perspectives in life.

What advice would you give to other students?

I would definitely want them to never be scared of being inquisitive. The more you ask questions, the more you
learn. It is also important to find and choose a job that you love, it is significant decision you can make. Also,
having an internship provides great picture of living the real world. It will be a good dose of reality of what life
will be like upon graduation.

What are your meaningful experiences during your internship?

The advices of my superior/mentors, supervisors, staffs and workers while learning so much at the operation at
the site was so meaningful. They were telling their experience and sharing their knowledge to me that’s why I
admire them for giving me such a wonderful internship experience.
