CHILDREN OF ABR AHA M
Abraham's endeavored sacrifice may establish a conflicted heritage for
Jews, Christians, and Muslims; however, it is a shared patrimony any way.
As so, it may draw – even in its contestation – a critical provocation for
interreligious discussion.

Abraham's "almost-sacrifice of his son" event recognized as Isaac in

Judaism and Christianit y, and as Ishmael in Islam. The aforementioned
traumatic incident, known to Jews as the Akedah, to Christians as the
Sacrifice of Isaac, and to Muslims as the Dhabih, is a significant issue in
the scriptures, interpretive beliefs, and practices of all three faiths.
Unquestionably, for each religion in specific ways – Abraham's eagerness
to murder his son has appeared to be perceived as the defining moment
in the patriarch's religious life. Af ter familiarizing ourselves with
interpretations of this event in Judaism, Christianit y, and Islam.

As this assignment is focusing on the origin and development of these

Abrahamic religions, I think it is a proper assignment's title to use.

SHORT RESPONSE

Q.
Although there are major dif ferences
bet ween the major monotheistic
world religions, what are some
important commonalities?

A.
Abrahamic religions all believe and honor in the same God and accept God as the one almighty who created
the world out of love for us. God unveiled himself and his intention throughout different religious manuscripts.
And in all three religions, God has told us the rules of virtue, and the way we can be pure. As for monotheistic
beliefs, God created us with the ability to comprehend the difference between right and wrong, or in the order
word, we know what should and shouldn't be done. Picking between right and wrong can be challenging, but
for all 3 Abrahamic religions, you can feel honor for the chance to be in this world and share your love and
respects for God with others and to do right over wrong.

With this duty of right (GOOD DEED) and mistake (COMMIT SIN) come the punishments and
rewards, and we are pushed towards our destiny of eternal happiness and reaching heaven.
