 Biograophy:

Birth : 5th December,1901 Chicago,U.S.


Died : 15th December,1966 Burbank,California.
Parents : Elias Disney,Flora Call Disney.
Wife : Lillian Disney.
Children : Diane Disney Miller,Sharon Mae Disney.
Occupation : Entrepreneur,Animator,Voice actor,Film producer.
Board member of : The Walt Disney Company (1923-1966)

Walt Disney was an American motion picture and television producer and showman,famaous as a pioneer of
cartoon films and as the creatorof Disneyland.

 Early Life : 1901-1920

In 1906,Walt Disney was four,the family moved to a farm in Marceline.Where he developed his interest in
drawing.When he was paid to draw house for a doctor.Elias was a subscriber of Appeal to Reason newspaper
and Disney practised drawing by copying the front page cartoons of Ryan Walker.He presented Saturday classes
at the Kansas City Art Institute and also attended a correspondence caurses in cartooning.In 1917 Disney
became the cartoonist of the Mckinley school’s newspaper.

 Career : 1920-1928

He started a business of cel animation with the help of film ad company’s co-worker Fred Harman.They
manufactured short cartoons and sold as “Newsman’s Laugh-o-Grams”.In May 1921 they implant Laugh-o-
Gram Studio,after that Disney migrated to Hollywood in July 1923.Disney and his brother started The Walt
Disney Company to produce the films.

 Creation of Mickey Mouse :

Disney and Iwerks introduced Mickey Mouse inspired by a pet mouse.Then Iwerks revised Disney’s provisional
sketches to create the character easier to animate,and Disney operated Mickey’s voice until 1947.Disney make
his first sound cartoon on Mickey Mouse to signed contract with executive of Universal Picture,Pat Powers to
use “Powers Cinephone” recording system.And Powers became new distributor.Later Mickey became successful
character,butDisney felt that he was not gettinghis share of profits from Powers.Disney asked Powers for higher
payments of cartoons but he denied and choose Iwerks to work with him.So without Iwerk The Disney Studio
can’t work.So Disney had nervous and downfall in October 1931,because of the plotting of Powers and his
overwork.

After the loss,Disney studios signed an agreement with Columbia Pictures to distribute the Mickey Mouse
cartoons,which became famous including Internationally.In 1929 Disney maked silly symphonies,which featured
Mickey’s newly created friends,including Minnie Mouse,Donald Duck,Goofy and Pluto.One of the most popular
cartoons,Flowers and Trees was the first color cartoon and it won an Oscar.

 Golden Age of Animation :

By 1934,Disney had become dissatisfied with generating cartoon shorts.So,he starterd a four-year production of
a feature length cartoon,Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,based on the fairy tale.It created an $1.499 million
and won 8 Oscars.
 Disneyland’s startup :

Disneyland theme park inaugurated on July 17,1955 in California at the cost of $17 million with actor Ronald
Reagan.The site known as a place where children and their families enjoy rides and play with Disney characters.

 Entrepreneural Skills :

The walt Disney company is a multinational mas media corporation valued at $45. 429 billion. It’s the second
larget broadcasting and cable company in the world and it has shaped the childhoods and pop culture of
millions probably billions of people.

Some people have changed this world to the volume that Walt isney has. He proves that resources and
education don’t dictate what you can become . His life lessons serves as excellent reminders for young
entrepreneurs.

Walt own has explained his definition for having leadership vision as beginning with one simple stepping
stone,“I dream”. In this case, he was making confident about his dreams where consistent with everything he
stood for, such as his beliefs,corevalues,and integrity.
2. Become an animated leader :
HE made everyone together in studio,then act out the whole movie sequence to personally show what
he visioned the story to be and give this artists direction.He brought the story to life and lit the way of creativity
and opened employee’s minds to possibility.
3. Be a salesman :
There are 5 qualities of salesman that Walt shows:

 Enthusiasm
 Confidence
 Courage
 Persistence

4. Build partnership :

Walt had the creative idea and in contrast his brother Roy was well educated financial advisor.Everywalt
needs a Roy and every Roy needs a walt.

To his employees,Walt was not just a leader, he was their servant and defender.

In 2009, Disney was named a leader in Corporate Social Responsibility, this company mainly focuses on the
environment, community and labour standards while focusing on volunteerisn.

Company give to charity with an increased focus on natural disaster such as the earthquakes in Haiti in 2010.For
that they also get award on September 24,2011.

The Disney World Wide conservation fund established on earth day in 1925 to helped to support over $20
million in projects in over 112 countries for supports of local and global non profits who protect wild life,
ecosytems.
