Plgen is started, this calculates the unit posi-
tions with spindle allocations and generates
CNC code.

erator Plgen:
Ø Click Plgen button 2.0.

Zoom using the + button and - button =,


zoom 1 : 1.
The arrow buttons move the workpiece

Ø Place the step slider 3.0 at 0.


Ø Set the cursor on a spindle displayed in
white 3.2.
ð The spindle information is displayed in the
lines in the field 3.1.

Ø Place the step slider 2.1 at 0


Ø Using the right mouse button, drag a rec-
tangle around a hole 4.1, the hole is
marked.
ð All spindles that have the same diameter
as the hole selected 4.1 are marked in
green.
ð Hole marked in green 4.0

Note:
Remove marking, click the user interface 4.2
using right mouse button.

2.7 Activating filter

Click button 6.0, the Filter window 6.1 is


opened.
This makes it possible to search for specific
diameters in the workpiece graphic.

Setting filter range

Ø Entry of the minimum filter range 7.3.
Ø Entry of the maximum filter range 7.5.
Ø Accept using 7.0 .
ð The hole diameters in the range between
5.5 and 8 mm are displayed.
ð The button 6.0 is red.

Conditions can be given for individual holes


or for several holes.

_h1 ... _h2, horizontal fixed side and move-
able side.
_h11 ... _h22, horizontal unit.

Note:
Using _a0 all conditions for the axes and
units set previously can be reset.

Ø Select _a0
ð All conditions _a.. are reset.

Step

Note:
Using _t0 all conditions for steps _t2 ... _t32
set previously can be reset.

Select _t0, all conditions _t2 ... t32 are reset.

Distance

Distance field 8.1, this value limits the max.


travel between 2 neighbouring supports in
the same drilling step.

Note:
A value that is too low results in an in-
creased number of drilling steps.

2.9 Selecting a condition

The hole 9.1 is to be drilled in step 2. 8.0 8.1 8.2

Ø Set slider 8.0 to step 1 and click marker

Select check box 10.1 by clicking, select the


required step 2 from the available steps.

Ø Click Accept 10.0


Ø Click Plgen button 2.0
ð The calculation starts.

A hole marked previously is drilled in the


selected step, or in a higher step. Not in the
previous steps.

Result of the calculation

Set slider 11.0 to step 2, the hole 11.1 is


marked and drilled in step 2.
The other machining is performed in step 1.

2.9.1 Deleting the conditions

Ø Click button 12.0 and answer the question


with Yes « .
ð All conditions are deleted, a new calcula-
tion can be performed.

Ø Set slider 13.0 to step 0


Ø Capture hole 13.1 using right mouse but-
ton.
ð All spindles that have the same diameter
as the hole selected 13.1 are marked in
green.
ð 13.2 marked spindles.

Ø Click button 13.3.

Note:
Display the positions and names of the Y
axes by selecting check box 14.0.

Note:
The calculation is made for the 1st drilling
step. As standard the clamping bridges are
not moved between drilling steps.

Positioning the clamping bridges

The clamping bridges can be positioned in


every step.
The clamping bridge positions changed last
remain unchanged.
e.g. last change in step 3, the positions do
not change in the following steps 4 ... 12.

Through holes with centring tip

If drills with a centring tip are used for drilling


through holes, the clamping blocks are used
as a supporting device.

20.0 A hole to depth is displayed as a circu-


lar outline.
20.1 A through hole is displayed as a solid
circle.

Ø Select 22.0 on the menu.

In the window 23.0 the parameters such as 23.0 23.1 23.2 23.3 23.4 23.5
transport speed etc. are displayed in column
23.3.
The fields for entering parameters for ma-
chine 1 are in column 23.4 and for machine
2 in column 23.5.

Ø Click button 23.1.


ð The values entered are saved in the CNC
code.

Ø Click button 23.2.
