I ARJUN P my concept of mobility in machines controlled by human beings seemed

like magic to me ever since my childhood. This fascination has since been responsible
for my inclination towards engineering. I have been a mechanical fanatic right since
my primary schooling days. When I was in my 8th grade I decided to be a mechanical
engineer, with my ambition to excel in the field. I became involved in mechanical
engineering which brought me a step closer to my dream. However, during my first few
years, I struggled in subject.

Being undeterred, I cleared Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from St.

Joseph College of Engineering, Chennai (India). By this studies I got a understanding
of core areas such as mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials
science, structural analysis, and electricity. In addition to these core principles, I used
tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM),
and product life cycle management to design and analyse manufacturing
plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling
systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons,
and others.

Afterwards I was working in Grazia Whirlpool Services Ravipuram, Ernakulam

(India) where my duties include Assessing and Overseeing service staff activities,
Strategizing and monitoring daily activities of service operation along with Assisting
service staff with duties where required. During this period I gained Working knowledge in
CAD software such as PRO-E and AutoCAD also in Whirlpool Magic care software.
I learned the importance of assertiveness, punctuality, precision and discipline while
working on a reputed firm. My contributions include key ideas to the Service support
team to Home appliances. Moreover I have actively contributed for organising Official
and Cultural activities for the Manufacturing a market for the company, I believe, my
goals I can achieve by determination, dedication, and hard work over and above with
the use of in-depth knowledge.

On rigorously searching for appropriate courses, I came across the immens e options
provided at HERTFORDSHIRE University. The MSc in Automotive engineering with
the research area of Fluid Mechanics and Machinery. Manufacturing, Strength
Methods of Materials, Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer and Combustion,
Automotive Petrol Engines, Engineering Analysis, Numerical Methods,
Automotive Design Engines and Manufacturing Innovation was just the all-in-one
package I could dream.

On further studies, in HERTFORDSHIRE University, I aspire to be selected a part of

it because Automotive engineering because students in university have work
placement years at companies including: Bentley Motors, Rolls Royce
Cars, and Triumph Motorcycles. Moreover links with all the major UK automotive
companies and most Formula One racing teams and opportunity to design, build and
race single-seater race car in the UK Formula Student Competition from university
first year onwards adds extra enthusiasm. The graduates who are working in
organisations including: JCB, Nissan, Ford Motor Company, Nissan Technical
Centre Europe, Jaguar Land Rover and McLaren Automotive are great inspiration.

Other than involvement in the design, manufacture, distribution, marketing, sales and
after-sales care of cars (including racing cars), motorbikes and other commercial
vehicles. I can also work on the aesthetics and technical performance of the vehicles
and, increasingly, the electronics and software involved with modern vehicles.
Responsibilities of the job typically include, assessing project requirements, agreeing
and negotiating project budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and
managers, developing and implementing test procedures, building prototypes of
components to carry out tests on organising and carrying out tests, e.g. to check
whether engines will work in different conditions, such as high temperatures,
interpreting and analysing results and data,sourcing vehicle components and selecting
the best materials to use, providing technical advice and answering queries from
clients, using specialist computer modelling software to produce designs, making
improvements to vehicles in response to customer feedback, investigating and solving
etc.

As my objective is to work in a challenging automotive company, in my country INDIA

it would be a privilege being educated under a reputed university of LONDON. My
areas of interest cover all my aspirations I can attain from HERTFORDSHIRE. It
would be my privilege learning in such a highly designated university. I am fully
