SSL Manager

This portal is used to submit the SSL certificate details of your branded URL(s). It can even be used
to generate the CSR for the required branded URL(s). We have broken down this guide into two
parts, one is “Generate CSR” and the other is “Submit SSL Certificate”.

Generate CSR:
Generating a CSR is a primary step while procuring a certificate. You may use this feature to generate
the CSR for your branded URL(s).

Step 1: Click on the Generate CSR tab towards the top right corner.

Step 2: Fill the required fields to generate the CSR.

If you are purchasing the certificate from your reseller panel, then please ensure the following:

1.) For Positive SSL / Comodo SSL – The common name should match the domain name.
a. Example: If the Supersite URL is http://my-supersite.com , then the common name
should be my-supersite.com. Please do not enter the common name as www.my-
supersite.com as that would lead to common name mismatch error while enrolling
the certificate.
b. The Positive SSL / Comodo SSL issued by COMODO by default secures the base
domain and the WWW version of the same domain name.
2.) For Positive SSL Wildcard – The common name should contain the wild card character (*)
in the common name.
a. Example: If all the branded URL(s) are a sub-domain of a single domain name, for
example, domain.com. Sample URL(s):
i. Supersite – supersite.domain.com
ii. Partnersite – partnersite.domain.com
iii. Control Panel – cp.domain.com

In this scenario the common name should be *.domain.com.

Step 3: Once you click on the Generate button post filling in the required details, the CSR
(Certificate Signing Request) is generated along with the Private Key. Please do not forget to save a
copy of the Private Key as this is will be required later when you submit the certificate details for
your branded URL(s).
Note:

1.) You may visit the Generate CSR tab any time after you complete generating the CSR to view
or copy the generated CSR and Private Key.
2.) This would only save the latest CSR and Private key pair that was generated using this
portal. For example, if you generate multiple CSR(s) for multiple certificates, then only the
latest one would be saved and available for your perusal.
3.) You may regenerate a new CSR anytime by clicking on the REGNERATE button that will be
visible once a CSR is generated.

Submit SSL certificate:

As soon as you successfully login to this portal you will notice your branded URL(s) as separate
tabs.

Begin by choosing any one of your branded URL(s). Clicking on the URL tab will pop up a new
window requesting you to provide all the certificate details to install the certificate for that specific
URL. The certificate details required are as follows:

• Reseller ID
• Common Name
• Private Key
• SSL Certificate
• CA Bundle

Once the required fields are entered click on Save. Similarly continue the same steps for the other
set of branded URL(s).
