Checking the boost pressure sensor

If there is a problem with an engine fitted with a 0-5V sensor taking load then
check the boost pressure reading, this may be done with the engine stopped.
Note: The sensor measures barA therefore the static pressure reading will
decrease with altitude

You should see this in Pandaros Packager under the ‘Display’ tab

incorrect correct (at NTP)

If boost pressure not reading correctly investigate why,

• Check continuity of boost sensor cable
• Check there is 5 volts across pins 1 (+) and 2(-) in the boost pressure
sensor connector.
• Check the voltage on the Pandaros board terminals inside the control box

• 5 to 6 = 5V
• 5 to 7 = ~1.3V
• 5 to 21 = 24V

If the measurements are correct in the Pandaros controller but not reading
correctly with Pandaros Packager then the controller may be faulty
If the measurements are not correct and the harness check shows continuity
then the boost pressure sensor may be faulty
