1.0 All cable trays and fitting are fabricated from MS Sheet / Structures. They shall be hot dip
galvanised.

2.0 Cable trays will be pre-fabricated type with sheet steel. The cable trays will be constructed
without start edges, burrs or projections that may injure the cable or the personnel. The
prefabricated galvanised cable trays shall be made of 2.0mm thick MS sheet galvanising
along with necessary accessories viz. Horizontal & vertical bends, t-joints reducers / couplers
/ fixing clamps / bolts / fasteners etc,.

3.0 Perforated Cable trays

3.1 Perforated Cable trays are fabricated out of single sheet steel confirming to
National/International standards.

a. Standard Length : 2.5 Mtrs

b. Perforations : Slots 10mm x 20mm
Width Wise: 10mm gap
Length Wise: 40mm
c. Tray Width (W) : As mentioned in BOM.
d. Tray Height (H) : As Mentioned in BOM
e. Tray Collar (C) : 20mm
f. Tray Thickness : 2mm
g. Finish : Hot Dip Galvanized
h. Bend Angle : 900 (If any)

4.0 Ladder Cable Tray

4.1 Ladder type cable trays are fabricated out of sheet steel sheets confirming to
National/International Standards.

4.2 All Cable trays are of standard length of 2500mm for various widths as shown in BOM.
Slotted rungs are welded to the side runners at every 300mm interval. At both the ends of
the cable trays four circular holes are required for connecting the adjacent cable trays or
accessories/ by coupler plates.

a. Standard Length : 2.5Mtrs

b. Runner Height(H) : 100mm
c. Runner Collar(C) : 25mm
d. Rung Size(S) : 40mm x 20mm
e. Thickness : 2mm
f. Rung Spacing : 300mm Interval
g. Finish : Hot Dip Galvanized

5.0 The cable trays and accessories shall be hot dip galvanised after fabrication. Amount of
Zinc deposits for trays and coupler plates shall be maintained and should not be less than
65 microns as per IS.:2629-1985 & IS.:4759:1984.

6.0 The galvanizing shall be uniform, clean smooth, continuous and free from acid spots.
Fasteners like screws, nuts, and washers shall be electroplated.

7.0 Covers for cable trays, made up of 1mm thick hot dip galvanised sheet steel complete with
fixing arrangement for the entire supply.

8.0 Vendor has to provide the standard accessories like nuts bolts, washers, etc., all necessary
accessories required should form part of supply and no additional rate for the same shall
be considered.
