The organizing committee of the Cagayan Valley Higher Education Research and Extension
Association (CVHEREA) in collaboration with Isabela State University (ISU),CVAARRD, HERRC and
PAEPI and in coordination with CHED Regional Office 2 will be conducting a Regional Training
Workshop on Qualitative Research to be held on September 27 – 28, 2018 at ISU, Cauayan, Isabela. It
aims to build-up capabilities of faculty in proposal preparation/ packaging and implementation of Qualitative
researches in the fields of social sciences, arts, humanities, communication and in higher education related
researches.

May I ask your good office the amount of PHP 4,500 per participant to defray the cost of foods,
accommodation, training kit and honorarium of the Resource Persons.

It is hoped that with this rare training-workshop opportunity, the participant will enhance her
knowledge on qualitative research.

College of Pharmacy developed a Laboratory manual as an Instructional material used by the

Pharmacy students. Before its reproduction it was evaluated by experts. As stated in Chapter 5
(Preparation and Development of Instructional Materials) of the Research Manual, 2017th Edition that the
selling cost is broken down/distributed as follows: 70% to the author(s), 30 %, administrative cost.
In this connection, May I request to your good office the amount of PHP 8,234.00 as the
incentives of the evaluators of the Laboratory Manuals which were sold to the students and was paid at
the accounting office.

Attached is the summary of the number of manuals sold and incentives per manual.

The Asian Society of Teachers for Research (ASTR) in coordination with Commission on Higher
Education (CHED) National will be conducting a Training-Workshop on the Thesis Mentoring for
Scientific Publications to be held on October 10-12, 2018 at Selah Garden Hotel, Pasay City. It aims to
apply andragogical approach in thesis mentoring, develop expertise in structural, processual diagnosis of
research manuscripts and supervise scientific publication of a thesis manuscript and peer review
compliance.

May I ask your good office the amount of PHP 6,000 per participant to defray the cost of foods, ,
registration and training kit. since it is live-out, the accommodation is PHP 3,200 (subject to change based
on availability of hotel).
