ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of food safety and students

satisfaction on the food service provided by the school canteen and to assess the

significant relationship between food safety and students satisfaction on the food

service provided by the school canteen. The study applied descriptive correlational

non-experimental, quantitative research, utilizing an adopted questionnaire that was

modified and validate by the experts. The respondents of the study were the Grade

7, Grade 8, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12 students of Tubod National

High School. The statistical tools that used in analyzing the data were mean,

pearson-r and regression analysis. The findings shows that there was a high level of

food safety and students satisfaction on the food service providedby the school

canteen. The study reveals that there is a significant relationship between food

safety and students satisfaction on the food service provided by the school canteen

which resulted to the rejection of the null hypothesis. Results of the study showed

that the food safety has direct influence in geeting the satisfaction level of a student

on the food service provided by the school canteen.
