NOTES
1. A minimum corrosion allowance of 3 mm has been included in the pipe schedules quoted.
2. Except where otherwise approved by the QP, seamless pipe shall be used.
3. Carbon content, certification, welding, heat treatment, and tests for hydrogen-induced cracking shall be as specified in QP
Specification QP STD-R-001.
4. CAF gaskets shall not be used.
5. If required, flanges to ASME B16.47 Series A may be used.
6. Long radius elbows are preferred.
7. Butt-welding fittings only. Socket-welding and threading shall not be used.
8. For permitted methods of connecting branches, Branch Connection Table.
9. Butt-welding fittings and valves shall be specified where 100% radiography of all welds is required for onerous service or where
crevice corrosion may be a problem.
10. Flanges using B7 bolts and 2H nuts shall not be insulated, protected or buried. Where this is necessary B7M and 2HM nuts shall be
used, these are intermediate strength bolts, the Contractor should ensure the joints will seal under operating conditions.
