MS PAINT

Paint is a feature in Windows 7 that you can use to create drawings on a blank drawing area or in
existing pictures. Many of the tools you use in Paint are found in the Ribbon, which is near the top of
the Paint window. The following illustration shows the Ribbon and other parts of Paint.

determine how the line appears in your drawing. These are the tools you can use to draw lines in Paint.

1. Pencil tool- Use the Pencil tool to draw thin, free-form lines or curves.
2. Brushes- Use the Brushes tool to draw lines that have a different appearance and
texture—it's like using different artistic brushes. By using different brushes, you can draw free-
form and curving lines that have different effects.
3. Line tool- Use the Line tool to draw a straight line. When using this tool, you can choose
the thickness of the line, as well as the appearance of it.
4. Curve tool- Use the Curve tool to draw a smooth, curved line.

Drawing different shapes- You can use Paint to add different shapes in a picture. The ready-made
shapes range from traditional shapes—rectangles, ellipses, triangles, and arrows—to fun and
unusual shapes, such as a heart, lightning bolt, or callouts (to name a few). If you want to make our
own custom shape, you can use to the Polygon tool to do this.

5. Polygon tool- Use the Polygon tool to make a custom shape with any number of sides.
