and roots, and appear to lack intelligence beyond the capacity of killing. Some scholars,

forms of treants. This hypothesis, however, has recently been disproven by a team of dedicated
naturalists, who, after capturing several of the seedkin and observing them for two score years
in a controlled environment, documented no futher growth from their original state. The bulb's

when there is naught else save coblyn legs to eat.
❧Caelumtree- Scholars of botany are unclear as to why such a large portion of the
caelumtree's roots grow above ground in a similar fashion to the mangroves of Mor Dhona,
despite the lack of marsh-like conditions in the Dravanian forelands. Some, however, have
concluded that the area must once have been submerged in water for an extended period of
time─a time in which the trees adapted. And though the waters have receded, the roots remain
the same. This tree's high-growing fruits are edible and can be fermented into a sweet and
aromatic wine.

greens are the Near Eastern variety of gysahl greens, brought back to Eorzea.
❧Cieldalaes Pineapple- A bitter fruit found growing on the Cieldalaes─a remote archipelago in
the Rhotano Sea. While typically avoided by the five races, it is a favorite amongst chocobos,

picked young.

even when beset by strong winds.

skybound regions of Dravania and Abalathia to be named after clouds, this light-petaled
specimen being no exception. Features wing-like petals.

in the Sea of Clouds. When dried, the vines are pliable enough to weave into baskets or even
crude armor. Has a narcotic effect on gaelicats, similar to gaelicatnip.
❧Cloves- A sweet-smelling spice made from the dried buds of the clove tree. It is used to flavor
confectionaries, and as an essential oil.
❧Coerthan Carrot- A long orange root vegetable commonly grown in the rocky alpine soil of
the Coerthas region.
⚒Coerthan Hemlock- Due to their natural resistance to colder temperatures, hemlocks remain
abundant in Coerthas even now, long after the Calamity-induced winter killed off the less hardy
species. | When seasoned, this thick sap-filled branch will prove quick-lighting and hot-burning,
making it the perfect kindling.

the amount of Ishgardian tea leaves are required to brew a single cup of tea.

horn-shaped flowers has been recently discovered to be effective in curing several different
ailments.
Cordyceps- Cordyceps is a rare type of funguar which will infect a beastkin host, such as a
bear, taking control of its body and mind in the process. As long as the host is alive, the funguar
can drain the creature's essence indefinitely, therefore giving the seedkin incentive to see that
the host continues to feed. In the event that the host's life is terminated, cordyceps will produce
fruiting bodies that emerge from the host's head, releasing countless spores into the air upon
rupture.
❧Coriander- A highly fragrant herb. The leaves can be harvested and used in salads, or the

crabapples are amazingly sweet and delicious.
Crackleweed- Even with only a single pair of leaves having sprouted from the soil, this seedling
already is producing the snap, crackle, and popping noises associated with the flora. Nearly
driven to extinction by the destructive acts of Nidhogg's brood.

Crimson Fan Coral- Brilliant red fan coral found growing in the Ruby Sea. Not really a plant.

root is often used as fodder for the animals.

its seeds do not take in soil from the lower realm, the trees must be planted and raised on sky
islets before being transplanted.

first Elezen arrived in Eorzea thousands of summers past. It is even written that the snead of the
scythe wielded by the goddess Nophica Herself was carved from one of these hoary sentinels.
They are the silent protectors of the forest, the spirits residing deep within their hearts helping to
maintain balance within the region. If even one were to fall, it could spell devastation. The clear,
viscous lifeblood of heavenspillars is collected by alchemists to concoct various ointments and
