students.

opportunity to gauge student readiness for learning.

information on the board
2.1) Students are settling into their seats. Once settled, students begin to copy the agenda.
2.2) The lesson agenda is usually written as pictured:

3. Teacher explains the lesson’s agenda. The lesson’s structure is usually separated into three parts, but may
change according to time constraints or focus.
4. The teacher is fond of writing these ideas on the whiteboard and expanding on them. The entire
whiteboard is used at least once during the lesson; a picture is taken for every full whiteboard.

4.1) Students have ample opportunity to expand on their understanding. This is usually done through class
discussions. Most of the learning and contributions are written on the whiteboard so every students
can see.
5. The lesson always starts or ends with paragraph writing. This is compulsory for every student; every
submission is tracked and there is an allowance of 2 un-submitted paragraphs for each unit. These
paragraphs are written on worksheets. (SEE DIFFERENTIATION DISCUSSIONS) The teacher may play
background music to encourage the students’ writing. Students in this class may use their own
headphones
