Solution to gender inequality

The uneven split of role along gender lines is a critical issue around the world which was started
from the ancient time. Globally, women have less access to high education while dealing with
greater security and health risks than men. Also, women have less opportunities of future career
than men.

By guaranteeing and promote gender equalities, countries will have more potential workforce
which grow the economy and lead the countries toward the development goal. For example,
according to a McKinsey Global Institute report, taking steps to decrease gender inequality in the
workplace can benefit Canada’s economy by $150 billion in 2026. Also, gender equality can
improve quality children’s life due to the fact that both parents involve in childcare.

From long ago, society has given women outdated roles such as house chores, childcare and
asking them to follow. Such discrimination led to lots of consequences such as violence, gender
inequalities and deficiency of workforce. Although the world is making progress in achieving
gender parity in education, girls still make up a higher percentage of out-of-school children than
boys (Li, 2018). To solve the issue, education is the main key. ‘Investment in girls’ education
may well be the highest-return investment available in the developing world (Lawrence, 2017).
Government should offer women to have free education due to the fact that women with high
level of education would less likely to be looked down by men. Also, by educating children and
adults about gender qualities, people will see a different perspective of the issue that can change
their belief about women rights.

Overall, gender inequality is a large world’s problem. Currently, there are many big organization
and government are working to solve the problem by adding laws supporting women rights or
offer education for women.
