Introduction :
Body :
Remember, you are interpreting your CV, not repeating it. Try to support each statement you make with a piece of
evidence. Use several shorter paragraphs or bullets rather than one large block of text that include a variety of the
following:
1. Briefly include your current job, length of employment and any duties and responsibilities which might be
relevant to the job
3. Mention any earlier experience (e.g traineeships) or special skills which could be valuable to the employer
4. Explain why you are suitable for the job; emphasise the benefits to the employer of hiring you (what you can do
for the company), and mention any reasons why the job would be beneficial to you (this shows that your motivation
is not purely financial!)
Conclusion
The conclusion should round the letter off, leaving the reader with a positive image. Conclude your cover letter by
thanking the employer for considering you for the position/post/vacancy. and include information on how you will
follow-up.
1. Mention the documents (e.g. CV) which accompany your covering letter
2. Mention your willingness or ability to come for an interview or to give more information
