“PRESS RELEASE" FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Johanna Ferreira, Sr. Management Analyst November 14, 2019 Office of the City Manager 209-456-8017 The City of Manteca is focused on providing the highest level of service to its residents. To that end, staffing, have been made, and experienced, dedicated staff continue to put their best forward to allow for smoath operations with no disruption to the community. In an effort to answer any questions regarding the adjusiments which have taken place at the City, the following information is provided on each of the affected positions: Finance Director Jeri Tejeda was placed on paid administrative leave by City Manager {Tm Oden in September o his year pending an investigation and remans on leave at this time. Miranda Lutzow, Administrative Services Director, has assumed the Acting Gity Manager Tim Ogden was placed on paid administrative leave by the Manteca City Council in September of this year pending an investigation. Tim Ogden remains on leave at this time. Hiranda Lutzow has been in the Acting Cay Manager postion since his leave, ‘Community Development Director Greg Showerman resigned his position in October to accept a pesition with the City of Modesto. Planning Manager Jeff Hightower was appointed as Acting Community Development Director until a recruitment for the position is initiated. In the absence of the Public Works Director, Deputy Public Works Director Koosun Kim has been appointed as Acting Director.as needed. City Clerk Lisa Blackmon has been appointed to the position of Acting Assistant City Manager to assist with oversight of City operations. Assistant City Clerk Cassandra Titton has assumed the Acting City Clerk position while the City Clerk fils in the Assistant City Manager position. Police Chief Jodie Estarziau was placed on paid administrative leave effective November 13, 2019, pending an investigation. Police Captain Mike Aguilar has assumed the position of Acting Police Chief. Personnel investigations of City Manager Tim Ogden, Finance Director Jeri Tejeda, and Police Chief Jodie Estarziau are being conducted with a sense of urgency by fair, impartial outside investigators.
