chance to start a new life.

 Senate Bill Nos. 288 and 356 - Instituting Absolute Divorce and
Dissolution of Marriage in the Philippines
 Senate Bill No. 504 - Recognizing the Civil Effects of Church
Annulment Decree
They say, "Divorce will destroy a family." Honestly, one of my friends grew up being a
Catholic, so as she said despite witnessing violence in the family, she believed that
that they should stay together. And that even me, I was afraid that the future would be
full of uncertainties if my parents got separated. And that I am personally afraid upon
hearing that divorce will be legalized in the Philippines.

Jez: Oh I see Zel, So, let me tell you about the main causes of divorce?

Actually this controversial divorce bills, filed by Senators Risa Hontiveros and Pia
Cayateno, seek to go beyond psychological incapacity, lack of consent, incapability to
bear children, among others, as acceptable reasons for an annulment.

In March 2018, a Social Weather Station survey found that majority of Filipinos
support legalizing divorce in the country.

Yet, I am going to present three important points about the advantages and
disadvantages of divorce bill.

First, you are giving a chance to start over and turn a new leaf after enduring years
trapped in a bad marriage," That’s one of the good points for divorce.

Additionally, in the majority of cases, divorce is something that can change your life
and your family’s life for the better. Sometimes, it can be better to let things go
that are broken far beyond repair, instead of wasting time trying to fix them.

However, divorce may lead to negative effects for it develops negativities since
some children feel upset about the situation that they will blame the parents
for problems in their relationships sense of loss. Additionally, an Adults can
suffer a negative psychological balance, including high levels of anxiety,
unhappiness and depression.

To sum everything up, People marry the person they thought they knew. Sadly, there is
much more that is revealed about them after the wedding. Even long years of engagement
or live-in arrangements cannot always guarantee anything. It is that commitment and
respect (including for one's self) which are often abandoned or forgotten by at least
one of the parties.

Yet, the ideal image of a physically intact "partnership" should be given more importance
over solo parent who can takes care of children even without the other parent? If nobody
can offer a better option, they better accept the reality and respect the decision of
people who are not as lucky as they are.

With this, the house of representative should make a thorough evaluation of the proposal
before its full implementation.
