Established in 1962, Sathosa Motors PLC has grown to become Sri Lanka’s
trusted leader in the automotive industry. Our long-running partnership with
Isuzu Motors Ltd, has allowed us to supply the domestic market with the
highest quality commercial vehicles at the most affordable prices. We are the
number one distributor of commercial vehicles in the country, catering to a
range of key economic sectors.
Having been an active participant in the country’s growth story, our Company
is gearing itself to meet the needs of an economy that is now on an accelerated
growth trajectory. Our strong relationships with customers in high-growth
sectors such as agriculture, construction, tourism, transport and logistics have
catapulted us from strength to strength.
Our dealership network comprises 113 dealers across the island, providing
total coverage in terms of spare parts availability and comprehensive after-
sales services in all provinces.

Our diverse clientele are based in many important sectors within the Sri Lankan
economy, including the agriculture, construction, logistics and distribution sectors
and many of our clientele are either based in or originate from Sri Lanka’s dynamic
small and medium enterprise sector (SME) and are repeat customers. Sathosa
Motors PLC also enjoys significant patronage from institutional customers which
helps to further bolster the strength of the Group. Backed by our extensive
dealership network and regular availability of spare parts and the best after-sales
service in the business, Sathosa Motors PLC intends to play a lead role in the
continued success of the Isuzu brand in Sri Lanka going forward while expanding
our product range to also cater to middle-low level demand as well.
Technology
We also have the capacity to repair modern DPD technology systems, common rail engine repairs, smoother
or dual mode transmission systems and any other major repairs. We also have the technology and facilities
necessary to undertake body repairs and chassis alignment in addition to machinery and equipment repairs
with hydraulic systems.
Strategic Alignment
Our Company maintains the most stringent quality standards for all repairs performed through our workshop, in
order to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, we conduct service clinics, undertake vehicle
repair and maintenance, and carry out driver training programmes in collaboration with our technical experts from
Japan in order to educate and advise our valued customers on best practices in vehicle maintenance.
Our own technical staff are provided with regular training at Isuzu in Japan in order to ensure they are kept updated
on the latest technological advancements, thereby furthering the service standards at our workshop. In order to
provide further benefits and enhance our value proposition to our customers, our Company has also launched a
mobile workshop to repair Isuzu vehicles. This mobile unit will be on-call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and is
available to our valued customers in the event of any emergency they may face.
Future Plans
Moving forward, Sathosa Motors PLC will expand its presence by appointing service providers island-wide, with a
particular emphasis on covering all provinces.
Our main warehouse at our Head Office has been completely redesigned in order to align with the
standards of Isuzu’s best spare parts dealership in Japan, and is being supplemented by an Enterprise
Resources Planning (ERP) system which has completely automated our stock replenishment processes in
line with international best practices. Our dealership network comprises 150 authorized dealers island-
wide in 2014 with plans in place to further expand this network in the coming years. We currently cater to
the needs of over 100 active corporate customers in addition to our many other private customers,
particularly in the SME sector.
