Established in 1962, Sathosa Motors PLC has grown to become Sri Lanka’s
trusted leader in the automotive industry. Our long-running partnership with
Isuzu Motors Ltd, has allowed us to supply the domestic market with the
highest quality commercial vehicles at the most affordable prices. We are the
number one distributor of commercial vehicles in the country, catering to a
range of key economic sectors.

Having been an active participant in the country’s growth story, our Company
is gearing itself to meet the needs of an economy that is now on an accelerated
growth trajectory. Our strong relationships with customers in high-growth
sectors such as agriculture, construction, tourism, transport and logistics have
catapulted us from strength to strength.

Representing our core product range, the Japanese Isuzu brand has been
synonymous with the best in performance, durability, and reliability in Sri Lanka.
Since the inception of its partnership with Sathosa Motors PLC in 1962, we have
sold well over 100,000 units in Sri Lanka and our product range continues to be one
of the most sought-after ranges of Light and Medium duty commercial vehicles,
namely: Lorries, Double-cabs, Buses and SUV's. As at 2013, Sathosa Motors PLC
markets 10 models of Lorries and has enjoyed a dominant market leadership
position with nearly 50% of market share on average in this segment. This positive
performance is attributable to the inherent quality and reliability of the Isuzu
brand name in addition to the healthy re-sale value of these vehicles.

Our diverse clientele are based in many important sectors within the Sri Lankan
economy, including the agriculture, construction, logistics and distribution sectors
and many of our clientele are either based in or originate from Sri Lanka’s dynamic
small and medium enterprise sector (SME) and are repeat customers. Sathosa
Motors PLC also enjoys significant patronage from institutional customers which
helps to further bolster the strength of the Group. Backed by our extensive
dealership network and regular availability of spare parts and the best after-sales
service in the business, Sathosa Motors PLC intends to play a lead role in the
continued success of the Isuzu brand in Sri Lanka going forward while expanding
our product range to also cater to middle-low level demand as well.

 Workshop Facilities
Our workshop department provides the best quality repair service in order to
meet the needs of all our valued customers. Utilizing only genuine Isuzu
spare parts, we cater to Isuzu vehicles marketed and sold by Sathosa Motors
PLC as well as those purchased from third-party retailers. In addition to our
repair and maintenance services, we also undertake modifications of Isuzu
vehicles and also offer enhanced services for all kinds of branded light
commercial vehicles.

Technology
We also have the capacity to repair modern DPD technology systems, common rail engine repairs, smoother
or dual mode transmission systems and any other major repairs. We also have the technology and facilities
necessary to undertake body repairs and chassis alignment in addition to machinery and equipment repairs
with hydraulic systems.
Strategic Alignment
Our Company maintains the most stringent quality standards for all repairs performed through our workshop, in
order to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, we conduct service clinics, undertake vehicle
repair and maintenance, and carry out driver training programmes in collaboration with our technical experts from
Japan in order to educate and advise our valued customers on best practices in vehicle maintenance.

Our own technical staff are provided with regular training at Isuzu in Japan in order to ensure they are kept updated
on the latest technological advancements, thereby furthering the service standards at our workshop. In order to
provide further benefits and enhance our value proposition to our customers, our Company has also launched a
mobile workshop to repair Isuzu vehicles. This mobile unit will be on-call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and is
available to our valued customers in the event of any emergency they may face.

Future Plans
Moving forward, Sathosa Motors PLC will expand its presence by appointing service providers island-wide, with a
particular emphasis on covering all provinces.

Expansion of Service Coverage

These facilities will be upgraded under the 3S concept which offers our customers Sales, Service and Spare parts so
that we can provide convenience and easy reach.
Staff skills and training
We provide our technical staff with training for the latest IDSS engine management software
systems, which Isuzu vehicles are equipped with. Our front office staff too are given customer
service training in order to achieve total excellence in customer satisfaction.
Spare Parts
Our Spare Parts facility consists of around Rs.100Mn worth of stocks at any given time to service our
valued customers. We source our parts from Japan, Thailand and India. We are consistently focused on
ensuring the availability of Isuzu spare parts across the island at all times in order to deliver only the best
in value, quality, reliability and durability to our valued customers.

Our main warehouse at our Head Office has been completely redesigned in order to align with the
standards of Isuzu’s best spare parts dealership in Japan, and is being supplemented by an Enterprise
Resources Planning (ERP) system which has completely automated our stock replenishment processes in
line with international best practices. Our dealership network comprises 150 authorized dealers island-
wide in 2014 with plans in place to further expand this network in the coming years. We currently cater to
the needs of over 100 active corporate customers in addition to our many other private customers,
particularly in the SME sector.

Founded upon principles of responsibility, stability and integrity Sathosa
Motors PLC is committed to becoming Sri Lanka’s leading corporate citizen
and is in the process of formulating several new CSR initiatives designed to
deliver value to the widest possible group of our valued stakeholders.

Sathosa Motors PLC’s commitment to the highest standards of Corporate

Social Responsibility extends to its employees who enjoy several benefits
including insurance cover for employees and the family, training facilities for
employees locally and overseas, dry ration food parcels for Sinhala New Year
etc. By organizing a sports day & family day out, we encourage our employee
to develop themselves in a holistic manner. Our organization is comprised of
diverse individuals and we actively support all major religious and ethnic
festivals as part of our efforts to promote an inclusive work environment. We
also make donations to religious places and activities.

Further we provide technical training to nominated employees of state and

private sector institutions free. Also many automobile engineering
graduates are annually trained by us in collaboration with National
Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) and Ceylon German
Technical Training Institute etc..

The Company regularly organizes Blood donation campaigns with the

Blood Bank and runs many other donation programmes throughout
the year.
 SML Frontier
Automotive (Pvt) Ltd.
SML Frontier is a subsidiary of Sathosa Motors PLC and is the sole agent for the
Land Rover brand in Sri Lanka. This company was established in April 2013. One
of the most prestigious SUV manufacturers in the world, Land Rover has rapidly
gained ground in the SUV and the automotive market in Sri Lanka, with brands
like Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery 4,
Freelander 2 and the Defender range leading the way.

In addition to the importation and sale of vehicles, SML Frontier Automotive

also runs a fully-fledged workshop in order to service the needs of our
discerning customers, staffed by our team of highly trained technicians and
stocked with genuine Land Rover spare parts.
