 Allegory of the Long Spoons
One night, a man had a
dream. An angel brought him
into another dimension with a
very big & long building. The
angel tour him inside the
building. They entered a door
with a sign ‘Hell’. Inside he
saw a long table with plenty
of delicious food on it, with a
lot of people sitting in
opposite sides. But the
people are hungry, angry,
shouting & fighting each other
because the spoon & fork are
1 meter long.
Then the angel brought him to
another room with the sign
outside ‘Heaven’. Inside he
saw exactly the same things:
big, long table full of delicious
food with thousand of people
sitting on opposite sides, and
spoon & fork are also 1 meter
long. But the people are happy,
in peace, associate together in
perfect contentment &
harmony because the long
spoon & fork are used to feed
the person opposite the table.
