INTRODUCTION
An efficient logis cs system plays a cri cal role in
facilita on and growth of trade for a aining global
compe veness. During the recent mes efficient
and effec ve logis cs is viewed as an opportunity for
cost reduc on increased responsiveness. Realizing
this, Logis cs Division, Ministry of Commerce &
Industry and Centre for Trade Facilita on and
Logis cs (CTFL) at IIFT, New Delhi is organizing a
sector specific logis cs conclave and conference
during 19th – 20th November 2019. We solicit your

conclave and conference a huge success.
ABOUT THE CONCLAVE AND CONFERENCE
LOGISTICS CONCLAVE
The conclave is being organized to bring policy
makers, industry experts and prac oners, and
academicians (researchers, faculty, doctoral
students etc.) on a common pla orm. The event is
planned for 2 days majorly, focusing on logis cs
issues, opportuni es and challenges across 9
specific sectors viz. Engineering Goods, Gems and
Jewellery, Marine Products, Apparels, Leather,
Pharmaceu cal, Chemicals, Agriculture and
Electronics. A total of 10 panel sessions/
presenta on are planned in these 2 days .
