Installation instructions for NovaFlow & Solid CV in
Windows XP / Windows Vista / Windows 7, 32- 32-bit versions

Note that hardware keys do not need to be activated unless prompted for.

1. Install the complete software package. By default the installation will not
overwrite any existing program. The program will be placed in a new
folder. Choose Destination Location C:\ or D:\... (whichever is default).
Do not use blanks in the Destination Folder name. This installation will
save all files in the NFS folder, nowhere else. Contact
support@novacast.se for installation password.

2. Insert the hardware

hardware key (HASPHL) into a free USB port.

3. Install hardware key driver.

driver Open “HASP_driver_install” subfolder (in the
installed NovaFlow & Solid folder) and run HASPuserSetup.exe. Select
the default alternatives.

4. Check that the hardware key has started to “glow”. This means that it is in
contact with the system.

5. Install MFC-
MFC-files - The Windows system must be updated in order to run
NovaFlow & Solid. Open subfolder “mfc80” in the installed NovaFlow &
Solid folder. Run “vcredist_x86_part1” and “vcredist_x86_part2” (select
the default alternatives).

6. Run NovaFlow & Solid. Run the Default Settings module, choose
“Material” tab and click “OK”. This is necessary in order to set correct
default materials. Such actions must be executed in both 32-bit and 64-bit
versions.

64-bit (both when running 32- and 64-bit version): Go

Windows Vista OS 64-
to the program shortcut (f.x. on the Desktop). Right click on the link and
select “Run as Administrator”. By choosing Advanced in that menu it is
possible to set “Run as Administrator” permanently. This must be done for
each of the shortcuts.

Activate HASPHL (only when prompted for)

1. Open “Key activation” subfolder (in the installed NovaFlow & Solid
folder) and run “hasprusNFS”.

2. Choose “Collect Key Status Information”

Information” tab (1).. Click on “Collect
information” (2). The system will ask you to save a file. Save with the
same name as your key no. (4 digits: *.c2v). Send this file to
christina.karlsson@novacast.se.

The program will not work until you get the file back (*.v2c).

3. When you have received the file, go to the same folder and open the same
program: “hasprusNFS”.

4. Select the second tab called “Apply license update” (3). Find your file by
clicking on…… (4) and the click on “Apply update” (5).
