PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title
BOY SCOUTS ACTIVITIES (BACKYARD CAMP)

II. Theme
“BOY SCOUT: BECOMING A LIFE SAVER AND FIRST AIDER DURING
UNEXPECTED CALAMITIES AND CLIMATE CHANGE”

III. Rationale
The Boy Scouts Activities is in line with the BSP Vision “To be the leading
provider of progressive outdoor-based non-formal education committed to
develop morally straight, disciplined, concerned, self-reliant citizens in the best
tradition of World Scouting.”

IV. Objectives
The objectives of each activity are in line with the BSP mission, the scouts
will be able:

• To inculcate in our Scouts and Scouters love of God, country and


fellowmen;
• To prepare the youth for responsible leadership in his environment
especially during calamities;
• To be trained in applying first aid measures and emergency procedure
during unexpected calamities such as rescuing and turning out the fire
and the likes;
• To contribute to nation-building according to the ideals, principles and
program of Scouting.

V. Training Methodologies
Workshop – flag code; first aid; bandaging; making an improvised
stretcher using bed sheet and bamboo stick
Seminar – history, scout, oath and law
Film Viewing – Pinoy Scout or UP (Disney)
Discussion – History and Founder of Boy Scout Movement
