Scalable wellbore data analysis and interpretation software

ApplicAtions

The Techlog* wellbore software platform provides unique capabilities, integrating all wellbore data and disciplines to solve complex reservoir and drilling challenges. With Techlog software you can bring all your disparate data together, including log, core, images, photos, and thin sections. Multiple disciplines can come together to visualize, analyze, interpret, and edit all wellbore data in a single, easy-to-use wellbore software platform.

Comprehensive wellbore data interpretation and reservoir characterization

Single- and multiwell environments

Benefits

Techlog software delivers a solid ‘generalist’ platform for all users of wellbore data and is complemented by advanced modules to meet the needs of specialist users—with complete data and workflow integration. The Techlog platform is scalable, delivering a multiwell, multiuser environment for large organizations just as effectively as for smaller organizations.

Increase productivity—highly intuitive interface

Improve decision making

Fully characterize all aspects of formation behavior across reservoirs

Simplify data import and export

easy data loading and preparation

All common data formats—from various tools, vendors, and data vintages—are easily loaded through a powerful drag-and-drop interface into the Techlog platform. Consistency with your company’s standards is ensured by quick and effective harmonization of the imported data to maintain consistent mnemonics, correct units, etc. You can also quickly create a logview to visualize, validate, and correct data for environmental and signal-noise effects.

Get clear audit trails and greater repeatability

Enhance field development strategies

Calibrate log data to core for lithology, facies, porosity, saturation, and permeability

Benefit from multiuser collaboration

classic petrophysics

Techlog software enables you to design your own petrophysical workflow to generate meaningful quick-look interpretations based on local expertise and the application of industry- standard methods for lithology, porosity, saturation, and permeability. These workflows can be saved and shared with peers in your organization as best practices, ensuring repeatability and a sound audit trail for regulatory compliance.

feAtures

Perform basic and advanced wellbore data interpretation

You can perform analyses in real time to improve the efficiency of operations and reduce the turnaround time from drilling to analysis. Run either canned models from the Techlog menu selection or your own, bespoke evaluation scripts that incorporate your intellectual property and optimize the interpretation in special situations. Either way, timely analysis enhances results for quicker, more cost-effective decisions based on sound information.

Share workflows as best practices

Design customized petrophysical workflows

Perform petrophysics in real time to improve operations efficiency

Model permeability using logs weighted with core data

Advanced petrophysics

Petrophysicists benefit from the tried-and-tested algorithms of the GeoFrame* ELAN solver. Capitalize on all of the information gained to date—from high-tech tools, acquisition of core, and pressure tests—to build a complete characterization of the reservoir.

Once reservoir mineralogy and fluids are properly understood and verified with existing core data, they can be contrasted with log responses using neural networks to extract facies with geological and reservoir attributes. These attributes allow you to better understand permeability behavior across reservoirs. Permeability can also be modeled using logs weighted with core data and contrasted against previous results.

connectivity with the reservoir model

Petrophysical results are easily upscaled and sent to the reservoir modeling world to enhance your field-development strategy. The Techlog platform provides efficient links from the wellbore scale to geological models, geomechanics, and reservoir engineering in Petrel* software.

supporting reservoir exploitation

Techlog software enables log analysts and petrophysicists to perform both basic and advanced interpretation, allowing for rapid and accurate characterization of reservoirs to meet operational demands. Techlog sensitivity-analysis capabilities support detailed studies for improved decision making in development planning, including selection of future logging tools and drilling programs.
