COMPLIANCE IN GN GARMENTS:
• No such standard followed for manufacturing garments.
• Depends on the demands of the buyer.
• 5’s and WRAP are not followed and implemented in
small scale industry.
• No measures taken to make industry sustainable.
• Things aren’t organized and done ergonomically.
• Operations and working procedures are not
standardized.
• Quality manuals are not followed.
• The infrastructure of the export house was smaller than an average export house
which made the process clumsier and less working friendly to the workers , which
could be a reason for lower production
• The maintenance system in the industry is breakdown maintenance where they
repair/look after the machine at the time of break down whereas we suggest a
preventive type of maintenance for continuous production and long life of the
machines.
• The export house didn’t have any system to check defects in the raw material or the
product, the quality of the product is checked visually only without any point system
to quantify the defects
• The total Greenland in the industry was very less and it should be larger in size when
compared to the export house
• The workers should be frequently sent for training to have premium quality of the
product
