WORK EXPERIENCE

Duties:
- Investigating and researching different materials used in construction projects to
specify the required strength, durability, integrity as well as developing the necessary
engineering designs as per the client's requirements & specifications and in
compliance with national/international standards.
- Investigating and researching the site to advise on the most suitable foundation for a
proposed construction.
- Producing detailed structure designs and documentation for the construction and
implementation.
- Preparing and analysing suitable configurations of the basic structural components of
buildings or other structure, checking that finished works are within specifications,
regulations and contract provisions, analyse risks associated with natural disasters
including wind, earthquake, fire and floods, and design structures and services to
meet appropriate standards, examining structures that are at risk of collapse and
advising on measures to be taken to improve their structural integrity, such as
recommending removal or repair of defective parts or re-building the entire structure,
liaising, working jointly and negotiating modifications on design plans with Civil
Engineers and considering the strength of different materials such as concrete, steel,
wood to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design
- Responsibility for managing and monitoring project from concept design to handover
stage.
- Project management.
