Abstract Submission
1. Accepted abstracts are only original research papers, case reports and literature
reviews.
2. Registration of papers for the Conference is based on submitting an abstract (in
English) via pendaftaran.clinicalupdatesugm.com - the deadline for submission of
abstracts is 10th November 2019 23:59 GMT +7.
3. The abstract submitted should not be longer than 300 words. Abstract must consist
of 5 parts; introduction, aim of study/objective, material and methods, results, and
conclusion). For case reports abstract should consist of introduction, case report and
discussion/conclusions.
4. The abstract of original work (regardless of progress of research) must contain results
and conclusions – it is unacceptable to use assertions such as “Our results will be
presented at the Conference”. Abstract cannot contain grids, graphs or picture
images. Abstracts violating this regulation will be strictly rejected.
5. Papers registered to the Conference are reviewed by the Scientific Committee of
Clinical Update 2020 in order to verify the correctness of the submitted abstracts and
decide either to accept or reject the report. Moreover, Scientific Committee qualifies
accepted paper to the appropriate scientific session.
6. Decisions of Scientific Committee will be published not later than 9th January 2020.
The decisions are final.
7. The abstract submission fee amounts to IDR 60.000 (first wave) or IDR 80000
(second wave) and has to be paid not later than 10th November 2019 23:59 GMT +7;

8. Each scientific paper can be presented and discussed by one of the authors –
indicated in the registration process.
9. First authors are expected to submit picture of ID for security matter.
10. Every abstract may have 7 co-authors whose name will be written in certificate.
11. Each participant may submit more than one publication as first author, however, only
the best submission is to be presented.
12. The five best rated abstracts of all abstracts will have the chance to present their
research during oral presentation session, remaining 15 abstracts will have the
chance to present their research in poster presentation.
13. Abstract that doesn’t meet the criteria will not be proceeded.
Important Information for Actives
ORAL PRESENTATIONS
- Your presentation cannot exceed 7 minutes. The time of the presentation will be
displayed on the screen (visible to the presenter). Please note that any presentation
longer than 7 minutes will be marked negatively.
- Your presentation is in English.
- After your presentation, there will be 2 minutes for questions and discussions from
the judges. This is also the part of assessment.
- Please hand in the USB for Oral presentation as soon as possible. One day beforehand
is recommended for handing in.
- Please note that there is no possibility to edit your presentation once you have
handed it in.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
- Poster presentation is in English.
- Presentation cannot exceed 2 minutes.
- At the end of the presentation, there will be 1 minutes for discussion. Please note
that this discussion will be marked for the end score.
- Please make sure to bring your poster in an A0 format (1189 x 841 mm) or smaller,
printed vertically. There is no possibility to print your poster at the conference.
- Please ensure that your poster is packed correctly to prevent any damage during your
travels. We cannot be held accountable for any damage done during the conference.
- Hand in your posters on time. We advise you to do this 3 hours before your
presentation to prevent being too late.
- All posters will be labelled corresponding to the poster session.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
The three highest rated presentations of all poster presentations will be rewarded during
the finale by receiving the following prizes:
