By

Gian Karlo L.Bagohin, Austin Felart B. Lapined, Gabriela Marie F. Palatulan and

Hannah Joy B. Pasaylo

November 2019

The quantitative research study wanted to ascertain the perspective of the

Grade 12 students in expanded opportunities of Malayan Colleges Mindanao.
This study exploit the descriptive-survey method in seeking answers to the three
problems, specifically the demographic profile of the respondents in MCM, their
perspective of expanded opportunities in terms of: multiple attempts given, online
coursework and availability to the students and whether there is a significance
difference in their demographic profile. The respondents of this study were 150
Students from different strands which are 103 respondents in STEM Strand, 20
respondents in ABM Strand, 15 respondents in HUMSS Strand and 12
respondents in ICT Strand of Malayan Colloges Mindanao in the Senior High
School Levels. They were chosen using a lottery sampling of a stratified random
sampling. Gathering of the data was done through a survey from September
2019 to October 2019. The results of the study revealed that the Grade 12
student’s are usually males, who are 18 years old. Also, there are a large number
of STEM Students. It was presented that sex, age and strand do not affect the
perspective of the Grade 12 Students in regards of the expanded opportunities.
