Dear Parents,
Our school is organizing “Festival of Multiple Intelligences(FOMI)” in campus
from 16th December, 2019 for Grades 3 – 6 in association with Primary Plus
Media Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi.
 The objective of FOMI is to recognize the natural genius of children while
giving them joy. Through numerous activities wonder, curiosity, awe,
spontaneity, vitality, flexibility and many other characteristics of a joyous
being. Each child is a genius in his / her own way.
 Theory of Multiple Intelligences helps kids succeed in the fields of their
respective aptitude.
 Something as simple as a story, a toy (Einstein said that a simple magnetic
compass had awakened his love for learning at the age of four), a visit to a
specific place or a question, can open the gates to a child’s love for
learning.
 The Festival of Intelligence brings together all aspects of learning and
creates a “congenial” atmosphere where kids can learn in an environment
free from criticism, comparison and pressure to succeed.

 Understanding 3D
• 3D stands for 3 Dimensions or 3
Dimensional and refers to something
with width, height, and depth
(described using the axes X, Y, &Z).
The term is generally applied when
depth is added to something that is
traditionally flat (two dimensional)
such as a picture. For example 3D
television, 3D movies, or 3D images to
distinguish them from their
traditional flat versions.
 Dance-60
• Aerobic dancing involves any kind of
exercise put to music and can include
everything from country music line dance
aerobics to hip-hop dancing. It's
recommended that kids and teens get at
least 20 minutes of good aerobic
exercise three times a week, so aerobic
dancing can be a fun way to stay in shape.
• The basic objective is for the children to
let go of any entangling thoughts and
stresses and completely relax an open their
minds and bodies for the events.
 Crazy Science

• Crazy Science refers to the activities

performed with the students in ways
so that the child’s mind is active and
the curiosity is intensified in
understanding the quirks and strange
aspects of Science
 Leadership
• Leaders do not only have to lead people
effectively, they have to maintain calm and
focus amongst all the members of their
team. To enhance your leadership ability, it
is important to establish yourself as a role
model. Leadership development
activities create opportunities to grow.
• This activity aims to highlight and
encourage aforementioned qualities
through the use of engineering techniques
and experiments designed specifically for
the age group.
Rock Climbing/Burma Bridge
 Newsroom
• This camps focuses on the Linguistic
intelligence and ability to use and
enhance the communication skills
present in the child.
• A rare insight and first-hand
experience to a child of how the
Newsroom operates using computers,
teleprompters
 Coding With Mouse

• The Code &Go Programmable Robot

Mouse is ready to follow commands to
teach hands-on coding concepts! Create
a step-by-step path for Jack using the 30
double-sided coding cards to provide the
perfect introduction to coding concepts.
How it helps:
• Students learn programming and
sequencing by coding the cards
• Any concepts can be learnt by making a
relevant quiz and solving it using the
game
• Visual and brain storming helps
enhancing memory.
 3Doodler Art
• A hands-on experience with which the
students will be creating 3-D objects
using specially designed 3D Doodlers,
enhancing the analytical, creative and
science centres of the brain.

Dear Parents,

Greetings from DPS Bangalore North.

DPS, Bangalore North in association with Primary Plus Media Pvt. Ltd. is
organising a “ Festival of Multiple Intelligences” in the school campus from
16th – 19th December 2019 for students of grades 3 – 6. This would be in lieu
of the annual picnic that we organise every year for our students at a
resort. This programme would enable students to get an opportunity to
indulge in an array of fun- filled activities to facilitate indoor learning
through outdoor activities.

Our school has always believed in and continues to propagate Howard

Gardner’s theory of Multiple intelligence which describes the different
ways by which students learn and acquire information. These multiple
intelligences range from the use of words, numbers, pictures and
music, to the importance of social interactions, introspection,
physical movement and being in tune with nature. It is a proven
fact that multiple intelligence based learning is more effective in
terms of student achievement levels and their attitudes toward
learning.

These outdoor activities which facilitate learning by doing would include

fun-filled Science experiments and games, activities to develop team
building and leadership qualities, rock climbing, aerobics, developing
creativity through Doodle Art and much more.

• The day long activities would be conducted in batches of 275 students

per day in the school playground from 8.30am – 4.30 pm.

• The cost of the same would be Rs. 900/- which would be inclusive of
snacks, juice, lunch (pizza +ice cream), certificate and a souvenir.

• Participants would come to school in the regular bus routes.

However, parents would be required to pick up their wards in the
evening at 5 pm.
• Parents are requested to go through the attached brochure for details
and encourage their wards to avail this opportunity for a fun filled
learning experience. The enrolments would be based on first come,
first served basis.

• Interested parents can send the amount along with the consent form
latest by 15th November 2019.
