Methodology
Syllabus Submission System is a system that helps the School faculty with
creating a syllabus with a fixed format and to lessen the administrative assignments of the
Department Head, Dean, Director of Instructions and Vice President of Academic Affairs
The System allows the user to register an account, the user’s access are limited
and based only on their position. The system provides a fixed format when creating their
syllabus For faculty users to create their syllabus first, they must click the add button then
they will be redirected to a page in the system wherein a readymade form is presented for
them to encode their data, and the Department Head, Dean and DOI can comment when
there are modifications with the syllabus and send it back to the faculty for revisions. The
syllabus will be approved by a digital signature. The faculty will be notified when their
Support System is shown in Figure 2.0. The researchers used prototyping methodology to
using a prototype, a prototype is built, tested, and revised based on the user’s perspective
Planning phase is the ability of the project management team to plan well is
necessary for Throwaway Prototyping model to work. The team is a huge factor for its
success with this model you can expect numerous surprises coming your way so having
the skills necessary to resolve problems is a must. In this phase, the project scope of the
system is defined. The scope of the concept is also identify. The researchers conduct an
interview of what is the problems and solutions. The researchers also determined the
feasibility of the study and how will it be develop by understanding the environment in
Analysis phase that is used to gather requirements and to develop ideas for the
system concept. In this phase, the researchers analyse and summarize the project
planning. This phase includes diagram to help the researcher construct their system. It
can also help the researchers to make a better decision and make the system functional.
detail to enable users to understand the issues under consideration .In this phase, guide to
design making, which exactly determine how the system operates in terms of process,
data, software, hardware, user interface and files that will be needed and other important
factors in the system environment. Researchers will make a Graphical User Interface or
GUI which shows how the user interacts with the Online Current Load Monitoring
System.
project will then take place. Prototypes will be created and introduced to end users who
will utilize them for testing and evaluation purposes. At this time, they will be providing
feedback, clarify needs and relay requirements. In this phase, includes the construction,
testing and installation to make the entire system. In this phase is to measure how the
relationships between the user and the different use cases in which the user is involved. A
use case diagram can identify the different types of users of a system and the different
types of use cases and will often be accompanied by other types of diagrams as well.
Figure 3.0: Use Case Diagram of Syllabus Submission System
Base on the figure 3 the user must log into the system to be able to manage their
account, they could correspondingly log out if desired, the faculty can manage their
syllabus. The Department Head, Dean and VPAA are the people who are accountable
with updating the syllabus however the Director of Instructions is the only one who can
edit the format of the syllabus, the system can send a Notification Message if a certain
Activity Diagram
An activity diagram was used for modelling the logic captured by a single use case
The faculty will log in, if the log in failed, it will return to the log in page, and if
the log in successful the faculty will manage their account and will manage the syllabus,
