equipment used in SMAW.

I. Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the learner should be able to:
1. Identify the different PPE used in SMAW;
2. Compare and contrast the PPE according to the parts of body they can protect;
3. Appreciate the usage of PPE.

1. Motivation
Video presentation of welder without proper personal protective
equipment. After that, the teacher ask the learner on what they had notice on
the video presentation.
2. Lesson Proper
a) Discussion
The observation of health and safety precautions in welding
operation is the greatest importance. Your life and that of the others are
more important than the job you are doing.

images of welding injuries or accidents. They will identify what PPE is not
present or used in the situation that lead in the injury.
c) Application
The teacher will give an image of a PPE and ask to post it on the
chalkboard where it belongs on the table.
