Shadowed physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to learn how they interact with
patients and what their role is in the healthcare team. Shadowing included experiences in family
medicine, surgery, cardiology, and dermatology.

MCELROY FOUNDATION RESEARCH GRANT, LORAS COLLEGE/ INDIANA UNIVERSITY-
PURDUE UNIVERSITY INDIANAPOLIS
Team member of research group that received grant to conduct research on the role of stereocilia in
age-related hearing on mice. Research will be applicable to human hearing loss. Expanded on
laboratory skills such as dissection and ethical animal care. Data will be presented and prepared for
publication.
